Sleeping With Sirens’ frontman Kellin Quinn officially announced his side project, Downer Inc, on Thursday (June 25). Quinn previously revealed details on the side project in early May in an interview with Nick Major of Idobi Radio.

In early May Quinn told Idobi Radio: “Yeah, so I started a solo project called Downer Inc, and it’s me and Cameron Mizell who did our first couple albums, he did Feel and he did With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear. He and I are just trading music back and forth, I’ve got a little microphone setup here that the people at Telefunken sent me and i’m just working on electronic stuff.”

Today (June 25), Quinn shared an update on Instagram with fans telling them that he “decided” to put his “hopelessness” and his “fears” into a “musical diary of sorts.” That is within the 6-track EP from his new solo project, Downer Inc. He also revealed the name of the forthcoming EP which will be titled, Whatever This Is.

“After a month of sitting home.. wondering what to do with myself.. I decided to put my hopelessness.. my fears… into a musical diary of sorts.. that was two months ago… Last night I finally turned in 6 songs that make up the EP titled “whatever this is” from a project I’m calling @downerinc music coming quickly so stay tuned!” Quinn explained.

Continuing to say: “I hope you’re doing ok living in the #whateverthisis just know I got you with some music to hopefully get you by! #downerinc thanks @dentistpdx for the art! Thanks @katelynnequinn for the photo and video content (coming soon) thanks @cameronpiercemizell for believing in my vision @nickjamezproductions for the insane mixing and mastering (proud of you and your talent) and finally thanks to @mddnco and @sumerianrecords for letting me get creative on a whole new level!”

Quinn also told Major of Idobi Radio that “Work Of Art” is one of the tracks off the forthcoming solo EP and will feature Eliza Grace. He also tweeted about this previously, which you can see below
