Sleeping With Sirens’ frontman Kellin Quinn has debuted his new solo project, Downer Inc, a new band that he first announced in late June 2020. This marks Quinn’s first-ever side project. The new side project also features Cameron Mizell, the producer behind Sleeping with Sirens debut album, With Ears To See And Eyes To Hear, and their album, Feel.

The singer released the debut single from the new group entitled “Generation Z,” with an accompanied lyric video that features Quinn, his wife Katelynne and her son Rowan.

“Generation Z” is the first taste of what’s to come from their 6-track debut EP, Whatever This Is.

“After a month of sitting home.. wondering what to do with myself.. I decided to put my hopelessness.. my fears… into a musical diary of sorts,” Quinn previously explained of the forthcoming EP.

The singer said that the conversation initially started when Sleeping With Sirens album turned ten, which allowed Quinn and Mizell to reconnect and since they were home they decided that they might as well make music.

“That’s how this conversation initially started with the album turning ten and us kind of reconnecting and I was just like since we’re home, we might as well make some music,” Quinn explained. “So he started sending over some cool electronic shit and I got inspired and here we are, we are already 5 songs in out of 6, so we only have one more to do.”

Quinn will be hosting an album release livestream on September 16 at 10AM PT via Veeps, you can buy your $5 ticket for the event HERE.

Downer Inc’s debut EP, Whatever This Is, is slated for release on September 16. You can pre-order the EP now HERE and pre-save it HERE.
