Daughter of country singer Hank Williams Jr. was killed on Saturday (June 13) in a car accident on Highway 79 in Henry County, Tennessee.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Brad Wilbanks, 27-year-old Katherine D. Williams-Dunning was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe that was involved in a single-vehicle collision near West Antioch Road Northeast of Paris.

Williams-Dunning’s SUV towing a boat was traveling Southbound on Highway 79 at 7:44 p.m. when the SUV crossed over the dividing median on the four-lane highway and rolled over, crossing Northbound lanes and stopping on the East shoulder. She died from injuries sustained in the accident on the scene.

Her husband, 29-year-old Tyler Dunning of Springville, was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, where his condition is currently unknown.

“This is an active investigation and more details will be made available later,” Wilbanks stated.

“My sister and brother in law have been In a terrible accident. Please pray for them so hard,” Williams-Dunning brother Sam Williams shared on Facebook.

This story is still developing.

Sending prayers and our condolences to the Williams’ and Dunning families.
