Kane Brown is writing new music between working out and spending time with his family.

During an interview with RADIO.COM’s Katie Neal for the Superstar Power Hour, the “Worship You” singer revealed that he recently wrote a new song about his 1-year-old daughter, Kingsley.

“I started writing a song the other day for her,” Brown revealed. “But it’s still kind of like my song ‘For My Daughter,’ a song from before I even met her.”

Brown continued to explained that she hasn’t yet grow up enough for him to write much new material about her but then he teased some possible lyrics to the aforementioned song he began to write about her recently.

“Now, she hasn’t grown up enough yet for me to really write anything about her,” the singer explained. “I was kind of saying, ‘you’re one now, when I blink you’re gonna be eighteen.’ It’s that kind of songwriting now.”

Prior to revealing that he has begun to write a new song about her, he shared an update that she is “actually starting to walk now,” and said that it’s been fun to watch her grow up while he’s been at home. Brown says that he sees both himself and Katelyn in her with their “little attitude.”

In the same interview with Neal, Brown shared that he is still working on his new album, which details of have yet-to-be announced. He said that he’s already “got a good group of songs together” and that his single “Worship You” will be the only song on the new project that has already appeared on his EP.

During Neal’s interview with Brown, the superstar shared “We’ve got a good group of songs together.” Continuing to explain that “Worship You” will be the only song on the new album that fans have already heard and the rest of the album will be brand new songs.

“I know a lot of people are wondering if there’s just going to be songs added to the first EP or if we’re going to have a second EP,” Brown explained to Neal. “For the album we’re about to release, I will tell you that… ‘Worship You’ will probably be the only song that comes over for the rest of the album. You’ll have 14 to 11 new songs to come out…. But I’ve put songs up on the Instagram that are not gonna make the album. I was just excited for them at the time. It’s cool letting my fans kind of guess which ones are gonna be on there and which ones aren’t.”

The yet-to-be announced new album will follow Brown’s latest EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which was released on August 14, 2021 via RCA Nashville/Zone 4. The EP has went on to achieve many of accolades and hit singles including “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.

No further details have been released surrounding the upcoming album.
