Kane Brown Gives Update On New Music: “A Whole New Album… 12 or 15 songs.. All New Songs”

Kane Brown has been working on his new album in a tropical location with Ernest, Josh Hoge and Jordan Schmidt, according to several social media posts throughout the last month. And if you follow him on Instagram, you know that he is always teasing new music with snippets of unreleased songs.

In two recent RADIO.COM interviews with Katie Neal and Coop, the “Be Like That” singer shared some updates on the forthcoming new album.

During Neal’s interview with Brown, the superstar shared “We’ve got a good group of songs together.” Continuing to explain that “Worship You” will be the only song on the new album that fans have already heard and the rest of the album will be brand new songs.

“I know a lot of people are wondering if there’s just going to be songs added to the first EP or if we’re going to have a second EP,” Brown explained to Neal. “For the album we’re about to release, I will tell you that… ‘Worship You’ will probably be the only song that comes over for the rest of the album. You’ll have 14 to 11 new songs to come out…. But I’ve put songs up on the Instagram that are not gonna make the album. I was just excited for them at the time. It’s cool letting my fans kind of guess which ones are gonna be on there and which ones aren’t.”

Then, in an interview with RADIO.COM’s Coop during his Rockin’ Saturday Night, the superstar revealed a few other details about his forthcoming new music.

“So, The Mixtape Vol. 1 was kind of just a thing that after quarantine,” the singer began to explain. “We didn’t know what was going to go on, so I just threw a couple songs out that I had sitting around that we didn’t know if we were going to release or not, other than ‘Worship You’ or ‘Be Like That,’ the rest of them are just kind of songs that I liked and I would listen to when I was in the car but I didn’t know if they’d make an album.

Brown then added that the next album will be all new songs, excluding “Worship You.”

“So, with the next one it’s just going to be a whole new album, with the exception of ‘Worship You,’ So however many songs we do, 12 or 15, they’ll be all new songs,” Brown said.

The yet-to-be announce new album will follow Brown’s latest EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, which was released on August 14, 2021 via RCA Nashville/Zone 4. The EP has went on to achieve many of accolades and hit singles including “Cool Again,” “Worldwide Beautiful” “Worship You” and his Top 40 radio single, “Be Like That” featuring Khalid and Swae Lee.

No further details have been released surrounding the upcoming album.
