Kane Brown and Chris Young teamed up with Soundcheck Nashville to host a drive-thru toy drive in Davidson County on Wednesday (Dec. 9).

The superstars and Soundcheck Nashville owner Ben Jumper assisted in receiving hundreds of toy donations that included 136 children’s bicycles, 40 scooters, skateboards and more to fulfill children’s wish lists. The drive-thru toy drive took place on December 9 at Soundcheck Nashville on Cowan Street.

“We’ve all been affected by COVID this year, especially children, and it’s been one of my main goals to make sure children have a great Christmas,” Jumped said in a statement. “We are still committed to helping Nashville’s children in need. We’ve been blessed in so many ways over the years. Although everyone has taken a hit this year, my family and my work family believe strongly in giving back and we remain committed to do so as long as we are able.”

“Despite this difficult year, Ben and the team at Soundcheck have continued to support our community and I’m glad to be able to help them bring a smile to kids here at home in Nashville and Davidson County,” Young said in a statement. “My very first guitar was actually a Christmas gift so I know first-hand how a gift can make an impact around the holidays.”

This year’s drive-thru toy drive was organized by Jumper’s daughter and general manager Kindal Jumper alongside his wife Katie Jumper. The event also wouldn’t have been possible without the help of some amazing local businesses including Gallagher Staging and Manufacturing, MOO TV, Stage Call Corporation, 4 Wall Entertainment, Crew One Productions, Tiff’s Treats and Call Time Coffee.

According to a press release, the toys that were donated were distributed this week to Last Minute Toy Story, Need Link and the Nashville Rescue Mission.

Soundcheck Nashville is a live equipment rental company and rehearsal space, the company typically hosts a end-of-the-year party and toy drive each year since 2007 but with the situation they were presented with from 2020, they had to figure out a new way to host a toy drive with minimal interactions and what a better way to do so then with the help of their “famous friends.”

While toy donations have been delivered this week, you can still help by sending a donation to @SoundcheckNash via Venmo with contributions going directly to Need Link and the Nashville Rescue Mission.

Last month, Young and Brown collaborated on a new single “Famous Friends” which finds Young returning to his roots and paying homage to both of the superstar’s hometown’s.
