Chris Young returned to his roots in his new single “Famous Friends” which is a collaboration with fellow country superstar Kane Brown.

Their much-anticipated new single “Famous Friends” dropped on Friday (Nov. 20) and it’s quickly become a fan-favorite track.

The superstar pairing is a full circle moment for Brown as he says that Young helped him “find his voice” and ultimately is who got him into singing country music.

In the song both Brown and Young trade vocals while dropping the names of some of their “famous friends” and three counties that mean a lot to them including Rutherford County in Young’s hometown of Murfreesboro, TN, Kane’s hometown of Hamilton County (on the Tennessee and Georgia border) and Davidson County which is Nashville where both of the singers currently live.

“And I’ve got some famous friends you’ve probably never heard of
But back in Davidson County our crowd is second to none
You might not know ’em here in this big city we’re in
But when I go back home I’ve got some famous friends”

Listen to the new song below.

“Famous Friends” will impact country radio in early 2021. The song was co-written by Young alongside Cary Barlowe and Corey Crowder.

Young and Brown talked about the song for the first time on “The Quad with Chris Young” podcast today, Listen HERE.

The dynamic duo previously worked together co-writing Brown’s single “There Goes My Everything” as well as releasing their first collaboration of “Setting The Night On Fire” which appears on Brown’s Self-Titled album.
