Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, have been together for nearly 10 years and share two children, and it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about relationships. During an appearance on The Kittle Things podcast, Jon and Summer chatted with George Kittle and his wife, Claire, and participated in a segment called “relationship goals.”

The first fan-submitted question was from someone who noted that their girlfriend is “super into astrology. Fellas, do we buy it?” After confirming that astrology is “Capricorn and all that stuff,” Jon gave it a thumbs-up, explaining, “I’m a flow with the energy and the universe, so I think some of it matters.”

The second question came from a woman whose boyfriend had gotten her a gift “that’s not my style at all” and she wondered whether she would tell him so she could return it or “put it in the closet and quietly never wear it.” George noted that he’s “pretty sure I’ve experienced this with Claire before. I’ve brought her stuff and she’s like, ‘Thanks.’ And I’ve never seen it on her.”

Summer Pardi voted to keep the gift, saying that she “would put that in the closet” and that she has “a gift from Jon that is one of those.” Jon disagreed, explaining that he “would just respectfully want a return answer so we could go shopping together for something that she wants that I can learn and pay attention to.”

Summer interjected, “it’s a sentimental part of that special gift that they were excited about,” to which her husband said, “But what if we go back together and you tell me, ‘This is what I want, babe.’ And then next time I come even sharper.”

The final question was from someone whose partner’s parents still have framed couples photos of their partner with their ex at their home. “Is that a bad sign for me?” they wondered. Both Jon and Summer agreed that it was probably a bad sign. “That’d be super tough,” George said as Claire joked, “I think you need to have a convo.” Jon joked, “Maybe they just want you to do some country chores and work your way up in the roster.”

Jon and Summer Pardi got married in 2020 and welcomed their first daughter, Presley Fawn, in 2023 and their second daughter, Sienna Grace, in 2024. The couple dished out some parenting advice on the podcast when Claire shared that Georgie’s sister and her husband just welcomed their first child, with Summer sharing that “a schedule worked” for them.

“It’s not for everybody, but for us, a schedule with a routine, we thrive on routine,” she said. “Our girls thrive on routine. I know that’s kind of one of those things where it can be …”

“Or just a good old gift card, like Walmart,” Jon joked before making the case for his advice. “Especially during the one month, two month old. There’s going to be a lot of throwaway uniforms. Poopy diaper, poopy everything.”

Pardi told PEOPLE in 2025 how parenting changed his and Summer’s relationship. “When we first met, it’s all party-party, sleep in, feel no pain,” he said. “Now it’s like kids are getting up and we’ve got schedules and we gotta be responsible. And intimate times are more ‘let’s just go to bed and get some sleep.’” Though he added that being parents “makes us stronger, and then, when we do get time to let loose, it’s great.”
