Amid Jelly Roll‘s divorce from Bunnie XO, his daughter Bailee Ann is speaking out after receiving criticism online following a surprise appearance during her father’s recent concert in Michigan.

The 18-year-old took to her TikTok stories on Tuesday morning (June 16) to address negative comments about her surprise performance alongside Jelly Roll at Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the father-daughter duo performed a cover of a Green Day hit. The emotional moment came during Jelly Roll’s headlining set on The Little A** Shed Tour on Saturday (June 13), just two days before news broke that the “Save Me” singer had filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie XO.

Fans at the show watched as Bailee Ann surprised her father by walking onstage unannounced and embracing him in a heartfelt hug. The pair then performed a cover of Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)” before later teaming up for “Wild Ones,” Jelly Roll’s collaboration with Jessie Murph.

Concertgoers filmed the performance and shared it on social media, where the clip sparked mixed reactions. While many praised the emotional father-daughter moment, others criticized Bailee Ann’s vocals. “Girl hitting every note besides the correct ones,” one commenter wrote, while another added, “That sounds terrible.”

Other commenters echoed similar sentiments, with one person writing, “Definitely not a good song for her,” while another said, “sounds awful.” One viewer stuck up for the teenager by commenting, “yall saying she sounds terrible, think about it, shes singing in front of a bunch of people, shes nervous.”

After seeing the comments, Bailee Ann defended herself in the comments. “Yeahhhh not a good song for me but I had fun regardless…. Cheers to no warm ups, haha 😂,” she commented.

Later, she added on to her response via her TikTok Stories, explaining the circumstances leading up to the performance. “Bro I tried to surprise my dad on stage the other night and ended up having to sing the WORST possible song for my voice & register and lowk had been flying for 17 hrs and driving for 4 hrs before that so everyone can actually stfu.”

Bailee Ann also addressed the growing public interest surrounding her dad Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s divorce, making it clear she was upset by the amount of attention being given to what she described as “clearly a private family matter.”

“Oh & one more thing I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It’s fkn crazy. Go on somewhere yall. Worry bout your house – not mine. I’m not speaking on it – yet,” she continued. The teenager continues to ask fans to respect her family’s privacy as they navigate this difficult time.

The comments come after court documents, obtained by TMZ, revealed that Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie XO in Williamson County, Tennessee. According to the documents, Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie XO, whose real name is Alisa Andrea DeFord (née Carter), after nearly a decade of marriage. The documents state that the “Save Me” singer filed to end his marriage to the host of The Dumb Blonde Podcast on May 18, 2026, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason their breakup.

The records also show the couple separated on May 9, just nine days before the filing, which was submitted by Jelly Roll’s attorney Rose Palermo, who previously represented Kristin Cavallari in her divorce from Jay Cutler.

Sources also confirmed to TMZ that the “divorce was mutual decision by the two and a private family matter.” TMZ also obtained a photo of a moving truck outside their Tennessee home on Monday (June 15) with several workers appearing to haul items out of the property.
