Jelly Roll kicked off his headlining Beautifully Broken Tour on August 27 with a sold-out show at Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The 39-year-old singer/songwriter, whose real name is Jason DeFord, brought a memorable performance to the Beehive State to launch the highly-anticipated trek.
“I’m fixing to soak this one in… We are fixing to do 56 arenas across the United States of America… this is the biggest tour of my career and this is the first night of it, doing it right here with y’all in Utah,” Jelly Roll told the capacity crowd on opening night, according to a video posted by Delta Center on TikTok.
“I could not have asked for a better first night of this tour, y’all. I want y’all to know this place is one of the most beautiful places,” he continued. “I’ve been here for four days at the Maverick Center, rehearsing and getting ready for this tour. I’ve been all over this [city] dude…. I truly could not have asked for a better way to open this tour. I could not have asked for a better crowd tonight, Salt Lake City, and thank you for making the first show a sold out show. I’ve decided I’m going to buy a house in Park City. So if you see me and my sexy wife [Bunnie XO] out, feel free to stop by and say hello.”
The genre-bending superstar launches his set with “I Am Not Okay” beneath a burning house and closes out his set with an epic performance of “Save Me” soaked in a downpour of rain. His -song set list features fan-favorite songs from throughout his entire career, including tracks from his forthcoming new album, Beautifully Broken, as well as tunes from WHITSITT CHAPEL and more.
Proving to be a future Entertainer of the Year, Jelly Roll built an extraordinary show that boasts of a next level production with an array of visually stunning elements, including pyro, fireworks, downpour of rain, a burning house above a b-stage in the center of the arena, vibrant lighting, a massive replica his signature skull complete with a king crown, and more.
The massive 56-date trek, which features support from Warren Zeiders, Alexandra Kay, ERNEST, Shaboozey and Allie Colleen on select dates, will visit dozens of major cities across the United States such as New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and more, before wrapping up in Jacksonville, Florida at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena on November 23.
The Beautifully Broken Arena Tour marks Jelly Roll’s biggest headlining tour to date and follows his completely sold-out Backroad Baptism Tour.
Jelly Roll’s current trek takes its namesake from his forthcoming tenth studio album, Beautifully Broken, which is set to arrive on October 11 via BBR Music Group/Republic Records. The project will feature a slew of songs, including features the reigning CMA New Artist of the Year’s current Top 15 hit “I Am Not Okay,” fan-favorite track “Liar,” and the newly released “Get By,” which was recently selected by ESPN as the 2024 College Football Season anthem.
Beautifully Broken is available now for pre-order/pre-save. All net profits from every pre-order of Jelly Roll’s new album Beautifully Broken in his U.S. web store will benefit organizations helping individuals facing challenges with mental health and addiction as part of the album launch.
