“The main thing I learned from Morgan Wallen was just that the sky is the limit and how quickly that can happen,” Munsick shared.

Ian Munsick‘s career is on an upward trajectory, and the singer has found support from several of his fellow artists along the way, including Morgan Wallen. Speaking to Music Mayhem, Munsick shared the advice the “I’m The Problem” singer has given him, and how he’s been there for Munsick over the years.

“The main thing I learned from Morgan Wallen was just that the sky is the limit and how quickly that can happen,” Munsick said. “He’s always just been very, very kind to me for no reason other than him liking my music. We don’t have any mutual labels or management or anything like that. He just likes my music and my show. And I think that it’s pretty cool for him being as huge as he is globally, not even in country music, but just in music in general, for him to still put on for people that he just likes their music. I think that’s pretty damn cool.”

One of the ways that Wallen has supported Munsick’s career was by putting him on the bill for Wallen’s inaugural Sand In My Boots Festival, which took place in Alabama earlier this month. Other performers on the genre-spanning lineup included Post Malone, T-Pain, 2 Chains, 3 Doors Down, Ella Langley, Morgan Wade and more plus several of Wallen’s frequent collaborators including HARDY and ERNEST. Wallen has also included him as support on several of his tours.

As for whether there’s a collaboration with Wallen in Munsick’s future, the “Long Live Cowgirls” singer is all for the idea, sharing that he “would love” to duet with the Tennessee native.

“I almost hopped on [a song] with him a few years ago, but he’s grown exponentially, even though he was huge back then,” Munsick revealed. “I still think that’s possible that it’ll happen because he’ll hit me up a few times a year and just to check in on me, and I’ll say, thank you for throwing me on more tour dates and stuff. So I think that it’s still possible that it will happen. I sure hope so.”

That may be the case on either Wallen or Munsick’s next album, as both artists just recently released new full-length projects — Wallen’s I’m The Problem arrived on May 16 and Munsick’s Eagle Feather on April 18. Eagle Feather was born after Munsick, a Wyoming native whose music is heavily influenced by growing up in the American West, was adopted by the Crow Tribe last year.

“I grew up pretty close to The Crow Reservation. They’ve always just had a huge impact and influence on me and my music, but also just to the West in general,” Munsick told Music Mayhem in an exclusive interview. “When they walked out on stage, they were holding an eagle feather, and they adopted me into their tribe. I thought just the imagery and the icon of the eagle feather was a really powerful, honorable image to go along with my album. And having my two other albums be called Coyote Cry and White Buffalo was a great way to get the animal trilogy.”

Munsick and Wallen previously joined forces during the Dangerous Tour in August of 2022 to perform a duet of “Flower Shops.”
