NF, whose real name is Nathan John Feuerstein, and his wife, Bridgette Doremus, who is a certified health and fitness guru, have both endured great challenges in their lives, but somehow through it all, they became each other’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Bridgette Is A Health Coach And Fitness Guru
Hailing from Seattle, WA, Doremus brings her knowledge on fitness to her blogs and several of the cookbooks that she has released. She launched her first fitness website in 2013, after losing her father to suicide, and later, developed a new website called Halfway Hippie in support of her vegetarian, gluten-free, natural lifestyle.
“When I lost my father in June of 2013 my whole world was rocked, I thought that my life would never be full again,” she wrote on her Stripped Fitness website. “I now use my loss to motivate and fuel me to help others from facing the same struggles as my dad.
NF Is An American Rapper And Singer/Songwriter
Nate Feuerstein took a more musical approach to his career. He was born in Gladwin, Michigan and raised by a single mother and her boyfriend, who abused him and his siblings. His mother later died of an overdose in 2009. After finding his way out of a difficult situation, Feuerstein began his career as a rapper. In 2010, he dropped his debut album, Moments, as an independent artist. He went on to release his major label debut album, Mansion, in March of 2015 via Capitol CMG, and release several other albums.
In April of 2016, he dropped the fan-favorite project, Therapy Session, which allowed him to build a loyal fan base quickly with songs such as “Intro 2,” “I Just Wanna Know,” “Real” and “How Could You Leave Us,” a tune that he dedicates to his late mother. Then in 2017, NF skyrocketed into superstardom and achieved mainstream popularity with his No. 1 album, Perception, which featured his biggest hit to date, “Let You Down.” He now ranks as one of the Top 50 Most Streamed Rappers of All Time.
So how did an American rapper from Michigan and a fitness expert from Washington fall in love?
NF And His Wife Bridgette Met In May Of 2015
The pair first met back in May of 2015 at an app launch party where NF appeared as a performer. At the time, Doremus had just gotten out of a long-term relationship, but they got to talking, exchanged numbers and the rest was history.
“First, he asked me on a phone date the next day, we had great conversation, talked every day and then he flew out to visit me in Seattle,” she shared in a YouTube video.
For one year, they bonded through a long-distance relationship before eventually making the decision to move into a place of their own together.
“And no, I did not know who he was before I met him or anything like that,” she added. “I just thought he was really cute and really sweet.”
Things progressed even further when NF proposed to Doremus in January of 2018. She broke the news of their engagement on social media with a post that showed off her stunning ring.
Her caption read, “It’s official!!! I’m going to be a Feuerstein 💍😍💕”
Fast-forward a few months and the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on September 1, 2018. While they have generally chosen to keep this celebration private, Doremus has shared a few photos of their big day, as well as part of their wedding video that featured her heartfelt vows.
“2018 was one of the most rewarding and challenging years of my life. We moved into a new home, got engaged, traveled the world and finally got hitched. But with all the rewards came a lot of sacrifices – there was A LOT of stress and even more lessons learned but I wouldn’t change this year for the world. In 2019, I hope to cultivate a life with more self-care, creativity, love, and patience. Thank you to everyone who celebrated life with me this year and for those who followed along on this crazy journey – I love you all!” Doremus wrote alongside the images of the day and some events leading up to their wedding.

After several years of enjoying life as a married couple and continuing to pursue their separate passions, NF and Doremus started to grow their family. On January of 2021, they announced that they were expecting their first child.
The news of this milestone was revealed through a series of photos including an ultrasound and a positive pregnancy test.

The Couple Welcomed Their Son, Beckham John Feuerstein, In August of 2021
After a grueling 34 hours in labor, they welcomed their baby boy, Beckham John Feuerstein on August 13th, 2021, weighing in at 9lbs and 3oz. In a social media post, the new mom explained that she ultimately had to have a c-section, but felt great support from her husband throughout the entire process.
“I’m still in shock and processing the whole thing so I’m not quite yet ready to share my story, but I can’t say enough thank you’s to all my nurses & doctors, my amazing doula @rebirthingwellness and my husband @nfrealmusic for keeping me sane through the most exhausting experience of my life.
