Scotty McCreery’s emotion-filled 2017 hit, “Five More Minutes,” inspired a Christmas Hallmark movie, and it airs later this month!

The film, aptly titled Five More Minutes, will star Nikki DeLoach (Clara) and David Haydn-Jones (Logan) as well as Sherry Miller (Clara’s mother, Bonnie) and Eric Keenleyside (Grandpa Jerry).

According to an official synopsis on IMDB, the movie “follows the story of Clara, who wishes she had more time with her late grandfather at Christmas. Her holiday wish seems to come true as she comes across his journal and looks back on her time with him.”

Other actors or actresses featured in the film include Alexander Jones, Mila Jones, Leanne Lapp, Serge Houde and Jason McKinnon.

While McCreery is listed as an executive producer for Five More Minutes, he will not appear in the film. However, the North Carolina native’s chart-topping hit will be featured within the movie’s soundtrack.

Co-written by McCreery alongside Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell, “Five More Minutes” appears on the singer’s 2018 album, Seasons Change.

The song served as a tribute to the hitmaker’s late grandfather, Bill, who died in 2015. Throughout the song, McCreery recalls precious childhood memories he spent with his grandfather before singing about the final days of his grandfather’s life, while wanting to spend just five more minutes with him before he passed.

The heart-wrenching track went on to become Scotty McCreery’s first No. 1 hit.

“I have believed in this song since the day I wrote it with Frank and Monty, and I am thrilled that the fans have believed in it as well,” McCreery previously shared. “This song was inspired by the passing of my grandfather, and I feel him with me every time I sing it. As I’ve said many times, it is my favorite song I’ve ever written.”

Five More Minutes airs on Saturday, November 20 at 10/9c on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel.
