HARDY revealed that his longtime friend and fellow country singer, Morgan Wallen will not be in the bridal party at his upcoming wedding, where the singer/songwriter from Mississippi will marry his fiancée, Caleigh Ryan.

During a recent interview, the “Give Heaven Some Hell” singer shared that Wallen will be in attendance at he and Caleigh’s wedding, however, despite fans presuming that he will be his best man or a groomsman in the wedding, HARDY revealed that is not the case.

HARDY shared the news with Audacy hosts Gunner and Cheyenne while chatting with them in the Gila River Country Club at Country Thunder Arizona.

HARDY previously shared that he and his fiancée Caleigh Ryan “fired” their original wedding planner as things weren’t working out with them. Now, the country hitmaker has unveiled that they have hired a new wedding planner and are planning to hopefully tie the knot this fall.

“We switched it up, we have a new [wedding] planner and she’s awesome,” HARDY told the Audacy hosts. “We are making headway and it’s been great. It’s very exciting. We have a venue and a date, which is the most important thing, now the fun can begin.”

“Let’s just say it’s sometime in October,” HARDY hesitantly shared.

He also explained why he didn’t choose Wallen to be his best man.

“Has Morgan Wallen committed to being your best man?” Gunner asked.

“No, he’s not,” HARDY said. “And that’s no disrespect to him, he knows. He and I are very good friends, but I just have a really, really solid group of buddies that I have known and loved forever. So, I have a really small [bridal party] but Morgan [Wallen] is truly… literally is like my brother. He’ll be at the wedding, no doubt,” he later added.

HARDY is currently serving as direct support on Wallen’s sold-out headlining tour, The Dangerous Tour. The pair will also play alongside each other at the Seven Peaks Music Festival this summer.

HARDY and Wallen haven’t only teamed up on the road as the longtime friends and Big Loud labelmates are actually frequent collaborators. HARDY has written dozens of songs for and with Wallen over the course of his career and has also released duets with the East Tennessee native, including “He Went To Jared” and “Goin’ Nowhere” from his two-part, HIXTAPE series.

Wallen even brought HARDY out to surprise the crowd at Madison Square Garden, where they sang “He Went To Jared.” He has also brought him out on stage during numerous other shows.

In August 2021, HARDY revealed that he proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Caleigh Ryan, where he popped the question in the same place where they first met.

“I’m not her boyfriend anymore ❤️,” HARDY wrote on Instagram, sharing a picture of himself on one knee during the proposal.

The country singer followed up with another post of him and Ryan celebrating their engagement in February.

“Engaged, so we raged. Thanks to everyone involved,” he said. HARDY sported a black suit and brown boots while Ryan wore a white dress and matching heels.

HARDY proposed to Ryan at the Lyric Theater in Oxford, Mississippi where they first met. He shared that he asked Ryan’s dad for permission to marry her after her parents attended a show he played with Dustin Lynch.

“I decided to do it in Oxford, Mississippi, there’s a venue there called The Lyric. It’s like a small 800 to 1000 cap venue and that’s where she and I met around four years ago. And so, a few months ago I decided that I wanted to do it there and if I could, I wanted to do it exactly in the spot that we met,” the singer previously explained.

Ryan recently posted a series of photos of her and HARDY, saying she’d keep sharing engagement photos until “[she has] enough wedding photos to spam your feeds until the end of time.”
