Fast-rising country singer/songwriter, HARDY has gone from one thing to the next this year. Last month (March 7), he found out he won his first-ever ACM Award for Songwriter Of The Year, but even through that exciting time there was a big unfinished project in the back of his mind. No, it’s not new music at the forefront of his agenda right now, but rather his wedding with fiancée Caleigh Ryan. He revealed that their wedding plans have hit a few bumps in the road, including having to fire their first wedding planner, but they are back on track with a new hire.

Back in December, the decision-making seemed to be moving along at a slower pace than they hoped because of their busy schedules getting in the way.

“We have not picked a venue or date yet, and honestly, we’ve been trying,” he told Country Now. “I’ve been gone every single weekend, and the only weekend I wasn’t gone was Thanksgiving, and I was in my hometown with my family. Caleigh works during the week, and so do I. It’s been really tough to go visit venues.”

The struggle to find the perfect venue is partly because of the large amount of people they are hoping to share their special day with.

“We have a number of guests that we really wanna have, and it’s gonna be really hard for us to cut back on that, and all the venues we’ve seen won’t hold the amount of people,” HARDY explains. “So it’s been tough, but we have a front-runner right now, and I’m trying to convince everyone to pull the trigger.”

Unfortunately, because things didn’t work out as they hoped for with their first wedding planner, “We just fired our wedding planner and hired a new one,” he revealed. He then shared that they had to reset and go “back to square one.”

“We’re not in the thick of it, but we are starting over and trying again with a new perspective,” he told Audacy’s Katie Neal on Katie & Company. “I think it’s going to be great. So, Very positive vibes.”

He did not disclose what happened with the first person they hired to help them out, but luckily they found a replacement quickly and from what he told Entertainment Tonight while on the Red Carpet for the ACMs, this wedding planner is a better match for the vision he and Caleigh are going for. She’s “crushing it” he shared.

When asked who he would like to sing at his wedding, if he could choose anyone, HARDY thought about it for a second, listing a few names off the top of his head like Post Malone and Willie Nelson. Ultimately, he came to the conclusion that the lead singer of the rock band Journey, would be the best choice because “Faithfully” is “mine and Callie’s wedding song,” he explained. “That’s my final answer,” he added.

In August 2021, the “One Beer” singer popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Caleigh Ryan, while they were on a trip to the Lyric Theatre in Oxford, Mississippi. Both of them confirmed their engagement by posting photos on social media from that night of them hugging, sharing a kiss and celebrating with a glass of bubbly. Just a few months later they had some fun with an engagement session in downtown Nashville as they dressed to the nines and even included a few outfit changes to match the various backgrounds.

And of course there can’t be a wedding without an engagement party. The lovebirds celebrated with members of their family in a stunning setting filled with balloons galore, bright lit letters that spelled out “ENGAGED,” a cotton candy machine and so much love. Caleigh took to social media to share her gratitude for all the people and vendors that helped bring her vision to life.

“The thought and detail incorporated into the design and setup make my heart want to explode with joy,” she said before listing all the vendors below.

The official wedding date has not yet been revealed.
