Rascal Flatts’ frontman, Gary LeVox continues on his solo music journey with the release of his latest song, “Get Down Like That,” which he dubs a “summertime banger.”

While searching for some new uptempo songs to cut, LeVox came across this fun-loving track written by songwriting superstars, Thomas Rhett, Ashley Gorley, HARDY and Jesse Frasure. He fell in love instantly and put it on hold, ready to cut it as soon as possible.

“I’ve loved this song from the first time I heard it and I hope y’all love it too,” LeVox said in a press release. “If you ain’t from a town like that, don’t worry we’re gonna show you how to get down like that. Turn it up loud!”

The song has already proved to be the perfect background to those nights when you just want to let loose with your country music-loving friends, whether that means sitting by the campfire, going on a relaxing fishing trip or hosting a weekend party. Wherever the weekend takes you, this straight-talking track is suitable for any and every small town adventure.

LeVox is encouraging fans to share their videos using the new single with the hashtag, #getdownlikethat”

“Hey, if you’re with me/If you wanna take it out of the city/get a little bit more nitty gritty/do some midnight fishin’ and some moonlight kissin’/come on/let’s ride/dance on the land of the milk and honey/ down here we do it up right/ if you wanna get to slippin’ out like that/ burned away your life where you ’bout like that/ ain’t your fault that you ain’t from a town like that/so let me show you how to get down like that,” he sings.

The fiery lyric video showcases all the fun that can be had out in the countryside like rope swinging, relaxing in a hammock and riding four-wheelers through the mud. It reveals that some of life’s simplest moments can turn out to be some of the best.

“Get Down Like That” is another step further on LeVox’s solo journey, after his time with the iconic country trio known as the Rascal Flatts came to a close. The song follows his 2021 debut solo collection, ONE ON ONE, which features collaborations with BRELAND, MercyMe, Johnathan McReynolds and even Levox’s own daughter who has caught her father’s music bug, Brittany.

LeVox’s debut solo collection is currently nominated for the Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year at the 2022 Dove Awards which will air this October 21.

According to a recent press release, there is even more new music in the works for the “Working On Sunday” singer as he continues on the road for shows that take him across the U.S. Gary LeVox is next set to play on April 21 in Wabash, IN, according to his official website.

The set list for his tour contains both some classic Rascal Flatts’ hits in addition to the new solo tracks he has added to his repertoire.
