Gabby Barrett thanked fans for her CMT Music Award win & admitted that she is “so sad” she wasn’t able to perform at the awards show.

The country superstar shared a video to Instagram on Tuesday (June 15) thanking her fans for allowing her to win the coveted CMT Female Video Of The Year award for “The Good Ones” music video. The Pennsylvania native also shared that her upset about not be able to perform at the award show, as she previously stated she was unable “due to personal circumstances.”

“Hey guys, just wanted to come on here and give a big thank you so much to CMT and to the fans,” Barrett said. “Thank you guys so much for allowing me to win Female Video Of The Year, such a huge honor. I got my first award ever with CMT, so it’s absolutely amazing to be able to add that to the awesome collection, but I just feel very honored. Thank you so much for all your love and support. I’m so sad I didn’t get to and wasn’t able to perform for the show but hopefully we’ll come up with something cool next year. I love you guys so much, thank you again.”

Throughout the brief clip, you can hear her daughter Baylah May playing with toys in the backseat of the car, which she then showed at the end of the clip.

“My child is playing with her toys,” Barrett later added, panning the camera to her daughter who was playing in her car seat.

Barrett was originally slated to appear alongside Lady A, Carly Pearce and Lindsay Ell for a star-studded performance of Lady A’s current single “Like A Lady.” However, the superstar removed herself from the awards show performance lineup due to “personal circumstances.”

“Still thinking back to last year’s CMT Music Awards performance and my very first award win 😍 Such a special moment that I will never forget,” Barrett previously shared. “I’m really sad to share that because of personal circumstances I won’t be able to perform with Lady A and Carly Pearce on Wednesday at the CMT ! I’ll be rooting for you guys and all of the incredibly talented nominees and performers! ❣️So appreciate all of your support and will see y’all on the road this summer :)”

Barrett made her performance debut at the 2020 CMT Music Awards with a performance of her chart-topping debut single, “I Hope,” alongside her husband Cade Foehner. During the 2020 awards ceremony, the country superstar also took home the award for Breakthrough Video of the Year (“I Hope”), marking her very first major awards show win. The award was presented to Barrett by worldwide superstar Taylor Swift.

Additionally, the chart-topping superstar is gearing up to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of her record-breaking debut album, Goldmine, which her new single appears onwith an exclusive concert as part of the Country Now Live series on June 23 at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee. Tickets for the show are now on-sale now or you can watch the for free via livestream on CTRL_MUSIC_, exclusively on Twitch.

Ahead of the album’s 1-year anniversary, Barrett shared the exciting news that she will be sending the fan-favorite track, “Footprints On The Moon,” to country radio as her new single. The song will impact country radio on June 28.
