The country superstar shared “Things Dads Do” on Wednesday (June 16) just days ahead of Father’s Day, celebrating dads across the globe.

Co-written by Thomas alongside his dad Rhett as well as Matt Dragstream and Chase McGill, “Things Dads Do” finds Thomas singing about fatherhood, while also detailing the tender full-circle journey of ultimately turning into your dad. The singer admitted that this is his favorite song that he’s ever gotten to write alongside his father.

“This is probably my favorite song I’ve gotten to write with my dad,” Thomas Rhett shared. “I’ve learned so many life lessons from him, and it’s pretty wild to see so much of him in myself now that I’m a dad. It felt like we should go ahead to release it for all of y’all who have been asking since we wrote it and to celebrate all the dads out there!”

Additionally, the “What’s Your Country Song” hitmaker debuted the track live at the Grand Ole Opry over the weekend, which you can watch HERE.
