Gabby Barrett revealed plans for a deluxe album and teased album No. 2.
Recently, during an interview with Celeb Secrets’ correspondent Juliet Schroder at the CMT Artists Of The Year ceremony, the country superstar revealed that she will be releasing new music sooner than you think, this year, actually.
The singer/songwriter shared that she will be releasing a deluxe edition of her record-breaking album, Goldmine.
“There’s going to be new music this year, so I’ll be releasing a deluxe version of my album ‘Goldmine,’ which will have a few new songs on it, which I’m really excited about,” Barrett said.
In addition to releasing a deluxe project, Barrett told the publication that she will be focusing more on writing songs for her next album in 2022.
“We’ll also be focusing on writing a lot for album No. 2,” the “I Hope” singer added.
When Schroder asked Barrett if fans can expect to hear any songs about her 10-month-old daughter, Baylah May, the hitmaker teased that she may include one song about her and her husband Cade Foehner’s precious daughter.
Barrett continued, “I’m trying to figure out the theme of what I want it to be, I haven’t done that yet, but I do know that I always write music about real-life instances, that are going on. So, you probably will find a song about a baby in there.”

Previously, during Q&A with Music Connection, Barrett revealed that she is already working on her sophomore album, which will be the follow-up album to her record-breaking debut project, Goldmine, that spawned chart-topping hits such as “The Good Ones” and her debut single “I Hope.”
In the interview, the Pennsylvania native said she is currently working on new music for the next project. Barrett even went as far as teasing that she wants to begin trying out the new music during upcoming live shows.
“Right now, I’m working on music for album number two,” Barrett revealed to the publication. “We’re writing and trying to get ready to try out the new songs for our upcoming shows.”
While she is unsure of a release date for her new music, she does promise fans that she wants to “make sure that the music is the best that I can come up with.” She later added, “I’m definitely excited to release new music, whatever that will be.”
Gabby Barrett was among the star-studded list of honorees at the CMT Artist Of The Year ceremony, where she accepted the honor with humility.
“Oh God, I’m nervous,” she admitted as she coveted award. “Thank y’all so much. Thank you so much CMT! I don’t feel like I deserve to be here in this room with all of these amazing names. So thank y’all very much. It’s been a dream come true. Thank you, Michael W. Smith for your support, I appreciate it very much.”
Barrett went on to reflect on her artist journey.
“This road has not be easy for me. It’s definitely been very difficult,” she acknowledged. “I have gotten a lot of doors that have just been closed, but by the grace of God, my family and my wonderful supportive system and team, they pushed me to never give up and not listen to the doubters. As you guys know, there’s a lot along the way.”
You ABSOLUTELY deserve. We are so proud of you, @GabbyBarrett_ 🙌🤍
