Gabby Barrett won an award ahead of the iHeartRadio Music Awards during her appearance on the red carpet!

The country superstar was named Best New Country Artist on Thursday, May 27. Red carpet host Elvis Duran surprised Barrett with the award during an interview. Barrett was surprised by the news!

“Really?” Barrett said before adding, “Amazing, Yay, thank you I didn’t know about this, thank you so much, Yay, great!”

Also nominated in the category was HARDY, Ingrid Andress, Ashley McBryde and Jameson Rodgers.

Barrett is also set to present Dan + Shay’s performance during the coveted awards ceremony.

The 2021 iHeartRadio Awards will also feature performances from The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson.Paak), Usher, Doja Cat, and Demi Lovato, H.E.R. & Brandi Carlile honored Elton John with a special tribute.

In addition to the performers, the iHeartRadio Awards will include a star-studded list of special appearances from LL Cool J, Chris Martin, Lil Nas X, Nelly, Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, Lil Jon, Robin Thicke, Joel McHale, Oliver Stark, Ryan Guzman, Ava Max, Raphael Saadiq, AJR, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch, twenty one pilots as well as Megan Thee Stallion.
