Barrett’s husband commented on the adorable photo saying, “what an honor to be your husband. Thank you for bearing me a child my Wife!”
The new father then shared a message of his own alongside the same photo.
“The Lord Jesus has given me so much that I scarce can believe it,” Foehner captioned his post. “Not only to be saved from sin because of His Gospel, but to also be given a Wife, who is my best friend in the whole wide world, bear me a child. I am a blessed man beyond my understanding.”
The couple first found out about their pregnancy in May 2020 but waited till August 2020 to announce their pregnancy publicly.
“The Lord has blessed us with a little one, and we’re really excited to finally be able to share the news with everybody and just have a big old family celebration about it,” Barrett shared with PEOPLE to announce her pregnancy to fans.
“We were in Texas visiting Cade’s side of his family,” she explained of the moment discovered she was pregnant. “And it’s funny, because I did not think that I was. Around lunchtime, I remember taking the test and my eyes nearly crossed! I was like, ‘Wait, is that two lines?’ I came running out to Cade and was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I think I am.’ That’s all that I said, and he knew what that meant. I started crying, and it was very sweet.”
The “I Hope” singer revealed that she will be taking a brief “break from music” to give her baby girl her undivided attention as she feels “it’s really important to focus on her.”
Barrett was recently offered advice on her “long list of questions” about motherhood from fellow country superstar Carrie Underwood.
