Morgan Wallen recently had a heartwarming encounter with a fan after a concert that “made her year,” according to her dad.

In a TikTok posted by Marty B, who works at Radio CJSE, Wallen can be seen leaning his head out the window of the backseat of a stopped car to talk to a fan, who Marty shared was his daughter. “My daughter met Morgan Wallen and he was so cool with her!” text over the video read.

In the clip, Marty’s daughter hands Wallen a notebook, which he takes and signs before she snaps some selfies of the pair, which Wallen obligingly posed for. As he started to roll up his window, Marty shared a message with the singer.

“Very kind of you to stop and say ‘Hi,” Marty told Wallen in the clip. “From a father, thank you. It’s been a rough couple years and you just made her f—ing year, man.”

One Night At A Time World Tour

Wallen is currently on the road on his One Night At A Time Tour, which is in Pittsburgh for two shows on August 30 and August 31. The tour runs through June 2024 with a rotating group of opening acts including HARDY, Parker McCollum, ERNEST, Nate Smith, Ian Munsick, Bailey Zimmerman, Dylan Marlowe and Lauren Watkins.

“You get nervous beforehand, we’re like what if this flops?” Wallen shared of his pre-tour nerves while co-hosting Country Countdown USA. “‘What if we put these stadiums on sale and there’s nobody there?’ But it obviously didn’t go that way. My tickets didn’t go on public sale. They were all gone on the presale. It’s just unbelievable. I wish I can play a thousand shows, but I had to cut it odd at some point.”

The massive trek helped land Wallen at No. 14 on Billboard’s recently-released list of the 20 top-grossing country touring artists of all time. He had just 92 shows that contributed toward his gross of $278.4 million, while nearly every other artist on the list had hundreds of shows that counted toward their tallies.

Wallen Recently Made History With “Last Night”

The One Night At A Time Tour is in support of Wallen’s hugely successful album One Thing at a Time, which contains his latest smash single, “Last Night.”

Along with hitting No. 1 at country radio, the song also made to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, recently notching 16 weeks atop the tally and becoming the longest-running non-collaboration No. 1 in chart history after passing Harry Styles’ “As It Was.” The song is now tied with “Despacito” from Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber and “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men and sits behind Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus’ behemoth “Old Town Road,” which topped the chart for 19 weeks in 2019.

Wallen is also up for 11 awards at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards on September 28 in Nashville, including The Song of 2023 for “Last Night.”
