Diamante released her impressive rendition of the hit Goo Goo Dolls track “Iris” featuring Breaking Benjamin’s Ben Burnley back in July.

The singer has now shared a new music video for the cover featuring footage from the recording process, shot by Alyson Coletta.

“On February 28, 2020, 2 weeks before the entire world shut down… I was set to get on a plane to Reno, Nevada to meet up with Ben on tour and record my all-time favorite song since childhood: “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls.” the video opening reads. “I missed my first flight, and almost didn’t make it to Rena to record, but I somehow managed to get on the next flight out to make it just in time!”

The statement continues: “Little did I know that the Breaking Benjamin show would be the last live concert I would attend before the covid-19 pandemic. On behalf of Ben & myself, we send our thoughts and prayers to all of the families around the world dealing with this new normal and realizing it is anything but normal”

Check out the new music video for the Goo Goo Dolls cover below.

This cover song follows the release of Diamante’s latest singles “Serves You Right,” “Obvious” and “Ghost Myself.”
