Country star Darryl Worley is expressing heartfelt gratitude to family, friends and fans for their overwhelming support following the tragic loss of his Tennessee barn, which was destroyed on Tuesday (Jan. 16) in a devastating fire.

Darryl Worley Issues Statement, Expressing Heartfelt Gratitude Following Barn Fire

On Wednesday (Jan. 17), one day after the horrific incident, Worley took to X to share his emotions and showcase gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers from the country music community. “I don’t think I will get this sight out of my mind for a long time! I’ve seen other people go through things like this, and I truly hurt for them. You just don’t really know and understand until it happens to you. It’s the worst feeling!” Worley said in a statement on X. “In that moment that Kimberly captured I was overwhelmed with the feelings of helplessness, sadness, confusion, and grief! There were so many things in that barn that meant so much to us and so many great memories!”

Despite the profound loss of his barn and so many precious family memories, he found solace in the safety of his family, the escape of their animals, and the support they received.

“I woke up this morning feeling thankful for all the love and support from so many, for the fact that all our animals escaped, for my family being safe, and for God’s love and protection!” Worley continued. He then asked that fans continue to pray for his family. “Please continue to keep us in your prayers and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the posts, text, calls, and prayers! We will rebuild our barn and move on with God’s help!” Worley concluded.

In addition to sharing a heartfelt message with his followers, he also posted an image of himself standing in front of the barn, succumbed to the flames.

Cherished Lifelong Family Memories Lost In The Fire

His statement comes in the wake of the devastating incident on Tuesday morning (Jan. 16), where Worley and his family witnessed the destruction of their barn. The country music star’s “management team” took to his official social media accounts with a video filmed by Worley to reveal the sad news with fans and ask for prayers as the Worley family not only lost the property, but cherished life-long memories.

In the clip, shared early Tuesday morning (Jan. 16) on Worley’s official social media accounts, Worley and his wife Kimberly sat in their car as they watched their family’s barn burn to the ground. Worley also expressed sadness as he and his wife, who can be heard crying, watched the barn crumble and reminisced on the memories they shared in the barn.

“Well, me and Kimberly are sitting here watching the barn go up in flames,” the “Have You Forgotten?” singer shared with fans as he filmed the barn ablaze. “I guess it’s true, that’s what happens in the cold a lot of times. It’s just sad, we had a lot of stuff in there and a lot of memories. It’s all fallen in now.”

In addition to sharing the heart-wrenching clip, filmed by Worley, his management team shared a statement with fans on social media, asking for prayers.

“As a management team, we are asking that you be in prayer for Darryl, @theworleygirl and Savannah today as their barn caught on fire this morning,” the statement began. “They are dealing with the loss of property and more importantly the loss of lifelong memories!”

Worley’s team went on to confirm that they are safe, and they believe that all of their animals were able to get out and are reportedly alive and doing okay.

“We believe all the animals escaped and are okay! Thank you! Team Worley,” the statement concluded.
