Darryl Worley and his family’s Tennessee barn burned down early Tuesday morning (Jan. 16). The country music star’s “management team” took to his official social media accounts with a video filmed by Worley to reveal the devastating news with fans and ask for prayers as the Worley family not only lost the property, but cherished life-long memories.
Cherished Lifelong Family Memories Lost In The Fire
In the clip, shared early Tuesday morning (Jan. 16) on Worley’s official social media accounts, Worley and his wife Kimberly sat in their car as they watched their family’s barn burn to the ground. Worley also expressed sadness as he and his wife, who can be heard crying, watched the barn crumble and reminisced on the memories they shared in the barn.
“Well, me and Kimberly are sitting here watching the barn go up in flames,” the “Have You Forgotten?” singer shared with fans as he filmed the barn ablaze. “I guess it’s true, that’s what happens in the cold a lot of times. It’s just sad, we had a lot of stuff in there and a lot of memories. It’s all fallen in now.”
Issues Statement On Devastating Barn Fire
In addition to sharing the clip, filmed by Worley, his management team shared a statement with fans on social media, asking for prayers.
“As a management team, we are asking that you be in prayer for Darryl, @theworleygirl and Savannah today as their barn caught on fire this morning,” the statement began. “They are dealing with the loss of property and more importantly the loss of lifelong memories!”
Worley’s team went on to confirm that they are safe, and they believe that all of their animals were able to get out and are reportedly alive and doing okay.
“We believe all the animals escaped and are okay! Thank you! Team Worley,” the statement concluded.
Documented The Tennessee Snow Storm On January 15
One day before sharing the devastating news of his barn burning, Worley documented the frigid temperatures and record snowfall in Savannah, Tennessee on his social media profiles.
The first clip featured Worley driving around in Savannah, Tennessee. “Looking rough out here in Savannah, TN this morning!” he captioned the 13-second video.
The next clip showcased outside of his home, which was covered in snow.
“Here’s what we got right now… I just wanted to send a little video of this because we’re buried in a winter wonderland,” Worley said in one of several clips. “I’ve been out since right about daylight. Kimberly had some of her little cows that were stressing out because they ain’t never seen nothing like this. We don’t see it all the time, but we get it every now and then, and it’s rough up here right now. Love you guys, stay warm!”
He also shared footage of “snow drifts” nearby his Tennessee home. “This sounds crazy, but actually we’ve got snow drifts here. Snow drifts in Tennessee, yeah, it’s a big snow and we’ve got another big one coming in just a minute from the west.”

Celebrated The Holidays With His Family A Few Weeks Late
Since Worley was busy performing at Opryland Resort, he was unable to celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas with traditional family gatherings. However, the country superstar shared that he made up for lost time with his relatives on Saturday, January 13, with a feast made by himself and his wife Kimberly.
“Since we had the Darryl Worley & Friends Home For The Holidays Christmas shows @gaylordoprylandresort on Thanksgiving and Christmas, we did not get to do our traditional family meal either holiday!” Worley wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“So yesterday we made up for it and had an amazing family gathering to celebrate together! We cooked a turkey and Kimberly made all her traditional sides and trimmings! Thankful to have family and friends who are like family there to share it with us! Looking forward to a blessed 2024!”
