Chayce Beckham is looking back on his American Idol experience as the historic new season begins.

The Idol Season 19 champion took to social media on Sunday evening (Feb. 27) to reminisce on his experience on the show and wish this year’s contestants the best of luck as they embark on their Idol journey.

“The iconic 20th season of @americanidol is airing tonight, so I thought [of] some of my favorite memories from the show!” Beckham wrote alongside several photos from his time on Idol.

”I also wanted to wish all the new contestants this year good luck, you guys have fun with it, spread your message through your music and make the best out of the opportunity no matter where you end up on the show,” he continued, adding, “It all starts here!”

Beckham went on to praise Idol judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie and thank everyone who helped him through his season of the popular singing competition show.

@lukebryan @katyperry @lionelrichie you guys make the experience on the show special and I can’t wait to see who y’all discover this year!” Beckham added. ”I’m so thankful I got to spend my season with y’all as judges. You guys rock. Also wishing a happy and well season to all the staff and crew who work countless hours to make the whole thing happen, you guys are amazing I hope you all know how much I love you guys!”

“Everyone tune in tonight on @abcnetwork and cheers to another great season this year, 🙌🏼” Beckham concluded.

As Idol aired, Beckham shared his thoughts on Twitter as he live tweeted about the show.

“Already in awe of some of these voices. Goosebumps on goosebumps,” Beckham tweeted.

Chayce Beckham was crowned winner of Season 19 of American Idol on May 23, 2021. He went on to sign with 19 Recordings in partnership with BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records. His official debut single, “Can’t Do Without Me,” featuring Lindsay Ell, is at country radio now.

Season 20 of American Idol airs every Sunday at 8/7c on ABC.
