Carrie Underwood is gearing up for a brand-new venture. It has been announced that the country music superstar and eight-time Grammy award-winning artist will be celebrating the launch of her own radio station, aptly called CARRIE’s COUNTRY.

Just in time for the warm summer months, Underwood will have curated the perfect music playlist for listeners everywhere. Available year-round the channel, housed under SiriusXM, will include songs hand-picked by the Oklahoma native and Season 4 American Idol winner herself.

To Curate New SiriusXM Channel, CARRIE’s COUNTRY

The highly-anticipated station will play 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but isn’t just for country music fans. Underwood, a self-proclaimed fan of classic rock and gospel music, will include both genres, plus current and classic country music, late-night jam sessions, and high-octane hard rock hits for those grueling morning exercises.

“I’m thrilled to partner with SiriusXM on my new channel,” Carrie Underwood shared in a statement. “I can’t wait to welcome listeners into my musical universe, sharing my favorite music across all the genres I love, from classic rock to the latest in country.”

To Play All Genres From Rock To Country

On the station, Underwood will bring together some of her best friends, peers, guests, and musical influences. In addition to her own extensive catalog, fans can expect to hear everything from Miranda Lambert and Dolly Parton to Guns N’ Roses and the Rolling Stones. There is something for just about everyone as Underwood will feature an eclectic list of music for the music connoisseur.

Aside from the variety of acts found on CARRIE’s COUNTRY, the 40-year-old mother of two and wife to former NHL Hockey star Mike Fisher will also share the stories behind her music, record-breaking career and life on the road. She will also take fans back to some of her biggest career milestones and memories in features such as one inspired by her ongoing Las Vegas residency REFLECTION.

“Carrie Underwood is one of country music’s biggest and most multi-faceted artists today, and to collaborate with her on her very own SiriusXM channel is truly special,” Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President, and Chief Content Officer, shares in a press release. “CARRIE’S COUNTRY will give listeners and fans the opportunity to connect with her on a new level, beyond her musical choices and influences, as she curates the channel’s programming. We welcome her to the SiriusXM family as we continue to expand our country music offerings to our subscribers.”

Originally Programming And Monthly Themed Shows

Original programming on CARRIE’s COUNTRY will include monthly themed shows, morning workouts, and late-night hard-rock blocks, as well as Savior Sunday – a full day of inspirational music, including the singer’s gospel catalog and country titles.

Two highlighted shows that will be featured on CARRIE’s COUNTRY are: “Find Your Path” and “Take the Wheel.” The latter of the two, named after her bestselling lifestyle book, finds Underwood and her fitness trainer sharing useful advice, helpful strategies, healthy habits, and more. “Take the Wheel,” meanwhile, has Underwood calling on various friends, peers, and fans to sit in as special guest DJs.

Underwood’s latest endeavor finds her joining a healthy list of other artists who have launched their own channels on SiriusXM, including Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Radio, The Beatles Channel, Drake’s Sound 42, and more.
