Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend returns to the Iowa Speedway in July and an all-star line-up of performers will be featured in the series.

Country singer Carrie Underwood will perform during the NTT INDYCAR SERIES pre-race on July 22 followed by Kenny Chesney who will sing during the post-race, according to a press release officially announcing the event.

In addition, Zac Brown Band will sing during the July 23 pre-race with Ed Sheeran performing at the post-race, the release also indicated.

“When we first agreed to hold the event in Newton [Iowa], we knew we wanted to make it the best and biggest event on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule,”  Hy-Vee’s Chairman of the Board and Executive Director Randy Edeker said. “We made the weekend quite the spectacle in 2022; however, we knew we could top our efforts when planning for 2023, and I think our lineup of concerts shows just that. This is an event you won’t want to miss,” he added.

Bud Denker, president of Penske Corporation, shared a similar sentiment.

Thanks to the support of Hy-Vee and their commitment to making Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend one of the biggest annual events in Iowa, we truly delivered a memorable experience for our fans this summer at Iowa Speedway,” he said. “With four incredible concerts featuring some of the most popular acts in music today, Hy-Vee is raising the bar even higher in 2023. Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend is going to bring non-stop excitement on and off the track [from] July 21 through July 23.”

Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend will see Underwood, Chesney, Zac Brown Band, and Sheeran performing trackside in front of the main grandstands at the Iowa Speedway, according to the same release. The pre-race performances will last 60 minutes, while the post-race performances will last 90 minutes.

Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend announced its 2023 NTT INDYCAR SERIES, which includes 17 races, in a press release back in October. The series will kick off on Mar. 5 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida continuing through the spring and summer before wrapping up on Sept. 10 at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, according to the release. Besides these races and those set for the Iowa Speedway in July, there will also be races taking place at the Texas Motor Speedway (Apr. 2), Streets of Detroit (Jun. 4), and Streets of Nashville (Aug. 6) among others.

The series will air on television or streaming platforms, with NBC, USA Network, and Peacock planning to carry the 17 races, according to the same release. The NTT INDYCAR Series champion will be crowned on Sept. 10 at the conclusion of the series and will receive the Astor Challenge Cup at the 26th Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey.

And while fans will have to wait until next year to watch the series and see Underwood, Chesney, Zac Brown Band, and Sheeran perform, they can watch them hit the road on tour before then.

Underwood will perform on the 2023 leg of her Denim & Rhinestones Tour with special guest Jimmie Allen beginning on Feb. 3 at FTX Arena in Miami, Florida. Chesney kicks off his I Go Back 2023 Tour with support from Kelsea Ballerini on Mar. 25 in State College, Pennsylvania. Zac Brown Band heads over to the U.K. for the 2023 C2C: Country To Country Festival on Mar. 10, and Sheeran begins his 2023 Tour in Wellington, New Zealand on Feb. 2 at Sky Stadium.
