Carrie Underwood is definitely in the Christmas spirit from the release of her first-ever holiday album, My Gift, to baking cookies with her family.

In recent Instagram stories, the country superstar is seen baking cookies with her husband, Mike Fisher, and their 5-year-old son Isaiah.

The first image shows Underwood standing with a bowl of cookie dough before telling fans that she was baking “peanut butter kiss” cookies, that she remembers making as a kid. She showed an image of her eating one of the “yummy” peanut butter kiss cookies before introducing fans to her “helpers.”

Her helpers in the snap were her husband and their son Isaiah. The couple and their son were seen baking holiday shaped ginger cookies, which she said is Isaiah’s great-grandmother’s recipe.

“He loves helping me in the kitchen and making cookies,” Underwood told Parade. “His great-grandmother passed away not too, too long ago and we have her ginger cookies that she would always make and we have that recipe and we do that and talk about her and just things like that are really, really sweet.”

This isn’t the only holiday activity that Underwood enjoys doing with her family during the holiday’s she told Parade that she also enjoys “decorating with her oldest son Isaiah,” who also appears on the “Little Drummer Boy” track on her No. 1 Christmas album, My Gift.

“He loves helping and he loves doing the tree,” Underwood added. “I put out some things while he was away at school and he came home and he was like, ‘You decorated without me,’ and I was like, ‘I just got the stuff that was like bigger and you wouldn’t have any fun doing this anyway because I wasn’t decorating a tree.’”

Underwood released her first-ever No.1 Christmas album, My Gift, earlier this year, which you can pick up HERE. She also just-released a visual special of the record with an HBO Max Special. During the holiday special, she performs traditional favorites and new holiday classics. She also was featured on her first bilingual song entitled “Tears Of Gold” with David Bisbal.
