The collaborative performance began as the Team Blake alum sat in a movie theater style seating and revealed themselves one by one as they watched throwback footage on the massive screen filling the stage background.

Leatherwood kicked off the performance singing the opening verse before the other former Team Blake members joined him one at a time.

“Another turnin’ point, a fork stuck in the road / Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go / So make the best of this test, and don’t ask why / It’s not a question, but a lesson learned in time,” Leatherwood sang on the first verse.

“It’s somethin’ unpredictable, but in the end is right / I hope you had the time of your life,” the group sang on the chorus.

“We will always pick you Blake,” the group said, concluding their performance.

Following the emotional tribute performance, Shelton joined his former teammates on stage and greeted each one of them with a hug.

“I mean I don’t know even know what to say…” Shelton said, “this is… What the heck is going on up here man?”

All-Star Tribute With CeeLo Green

Earlier in the show, CeeLo Green kicked off the show with an epic ‘80s medley with former members of Team Blake, including Cam Anthony, Wendy Moten, bodie, and Chloe Kohanski.

Together, the group of performed a rock ‘n roll medley that included covers of John Mellencamp’s “Jack and Diane,” Simple Minds’ “Don’t You Forget About Me” and Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer.”

The tribute performances come in honor of Blake Shelton’s final show on The Voice. In the fall of 2022, the “No Body” singer announced that he would be leaving the Emmy-winning singing competition show.

“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” Shelton previously shared in a statement. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew, and catering people; you are the best.”
