Morgan Wallen broke his silence on social media to deliver a health update and further apologize to his fans in Mississippi for the abrupt cancellation of his April 23 concert.
The East Tennessee native took to his Instagram stories just hours before his Thursday evening concert to confirm that he will in fact be taking the stage this evening in Jacksonville following his doctor-ordered vocal rest.

“What’s up everybody, I just wanted to let you know that I am in Jacksonville. We are going to play a show tonight,” Wallen said in a video message to fans, before sharing a brief update on his health and apologizing to the fans who were at his canceled show in Mississippi.
“I wouldn’t say I’m 100%, but I’m doing a lot better and to everyone in Oxford, I just wanted to reiterate how sorry I am for the way that went down,” Wallen continued. ”I thought I was going to be good to go and I just wasn’t. So we are working on a rescheduled date. We are close to a rescheduled date, I just don’t have the exact one yet. So as soon as I do I’ll let you know.”
He then showcased gratitude for the fans sticking by him through thick and thin.
“I appreciate y’all. Can’t wait to get back on stage tonight. Love y’all. Thank you for all the support, always. God bless you. See you soon,” Wallen said.
Trio Of Shows In Florida This Weekend
The country superstar will return to the stage for a trio of sold-out shows in Florida this weekend on his One Night At A Time World Tour, beginning this evening (May 4) at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville with ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman.
The Jacksonville show will be followed by shows at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL (May 5) and MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, FL (May 6).
The VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena also confirmed that the East Tennessee native will take the stage on May 4.

,” the venue wrote on social media hours before the show.
With the news of Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour resuming, fans took to Twitter to share their excitement for the upcoming shows.
“It’s Morgan Wallen dayyyyyyyy 🤠 so excited,” one user wrote while another said, “just ready to see morgan wallen next month.”
The news comes after Wallen was forced to abruptly cancel his Mississippi tour date. Minutes before taking the stage, it was announced that he was “unable to sing” due to losing his voice.
Rescheduled Three Concerts
He later issued an apology to fans revealing that he was placed on “doctor-ordered vocal rest” and was forced to reschedule three upcoming tour dates of his One Night At A Time World Tour, including his shows in Michigan, Illinois and Nebraska.
“Y’all know how important my fans are to me, so I feel horrible about this news,” Wallen’s statement read. ”There’s nothing more I want to do than be on stage playing for you guys. But as of today, I’m on doctor-ordered vocal rest and we have to reschedule this week’s shows.”
At the time, the “Last Night” singer went on to share his gratitude for fans as he continues to heal his vocal cords.
”I appreciate and understand everything you do to get to my shows, so it would be unfair of me to put on a show that I know will not be 100%,” he continued. “I’m doing everything I can to speed up the process of getting to that 100% mark.”
One Night At A Time World Tour
The U.S. leg of the record-breaking trek kicked off with two sold-out shows at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in April.
The One Night At A Time World Tour marks Wallen’s first-time ever headlining stadiums across the globe for multiple nights.
Marking one of the largest tours of 2023 so far and the biggest tour of Wallen’s career, the lengthy trek will visit 30 stadiums, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals to fans across four countries and two continents.
The North American leg of the trek will wrap up on October 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington.
The tour, which kicked off in March with shows overseas in New Zealand and Australia, will return overseas this fall with stops in Canada before heading to The O2 in London on Dec. 3.
Produced by Live Nation, the trek will feature support from ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman on all dates. HARDY and Parker McCollum will also appear on select dates.
In an effort to give back to those in need, Wallen will donate $3 of every ticket sold on the U.S. dates to The Morgan Wallen Foundation. Established in 2021, the foundation benefits causes near and dear to the superstar’s heart, including organizations such as Greater Good Music, Children Are People, the Salvation Army, and the National Museum of African American Music.
Additionally, Morgan Wallen will also perform at several festivals this summer such as Gulf Coast Jam, Carolina Country Music Fest, We Fest, Big Valley Jamboree, YQM Country Fest, and more.
New Album, One Thing At A Time
The tour comes in support of his latest album, One Thing At A Time, which arrived on March 3. One Thing At A Time showcases Wallen’s wide range of musical influences as well as combine his love for country, rock and hip-hop.
The project features 36 tracks, including duets with Eric Church, HARDY and ERNEST. Wallen’s sister Ashlyne also makes an appearance on the project, singing harmonies on the song titled “Outlook.” He also pays tribute to his son, Indigo (Indie) Wilder Wallen, on the project with the tune “Dying Man,” which he often dedicates to Indie during his live concerts.
“This record represents the last few years of my life, the highs and the lows,” Wallen previously shared in a statement. “It also brings together the musical influences that have shaped me as an artist – country, alternative and hip-hop.”
Nominated For Entertainer Of The Year At 2023 ACM Awards
Additionally, Wallen recently earned four nominations at the 2023 ACM Awards, including the coveted Entertainer Of The Year, Male Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year (“Sand In My Boots”) and Artist-Songwriter Of The Year.
Co-hosted by Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, the 58th Academy Of Country Music Awards will stream live exclusively on Prime Video from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, May 11 at 8/7c.
