On Thursday evening (May 19), the “Bad Habits” singer took to Instagram to reveal the exciting news with fans. The news comes as a complete shock to fans as Sheeran never revealed he was expecting another child.
“Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl,” Sheeran wrote alongside a photo of baby socks laying on a brown blanket.
He continued, “We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x.”
The singer didn’t reveal when his second child was born or her name.
Sheeran and Seaborn’s new addition joins their first daughter, Lyra Antarctica, who they welcomed in August 2020.
At the time of Lyra Antarctica’s birth, Sheeran took to Instagram to share the news with fans alongside a photo similar to the one he shared revealing the news of his second child.
“Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran,” Sheeran captioned the announcement on Instagram. “We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x”
The couple, Sheeran and Seaborn, were childhood sweethearts and got married in 2018.
Sheeran recently released his latest album, Equals (“=”), which he is currently on tour in the UK in support of.
