Country trio and America’s Got Talent season 17 finalists Chapel Hart will sing a duet with Darius Rucker during the show’s Wednesday (Sept. 14) finale.

The trio, composed of sisters Danica and Devynn Hart as well as their cousin Trea Swindle, first caught Rucker’s attention following their AGT audition, which earned them the coveted golden buzzer. In reacting to their audition, Rucker said he was “blown away” by their talent.

“Like so many people, I was blown away when I saw Chapel Hart’s original response to [Dolly Parton’s song] ‘Jolene’ during their audition,” Rucker said. “Their energy on that stage has been contagious to watch and I’m honored they asked me to be part of their finale experience – especially to perform one of my favorite songs of all time!”

Though Rucker did not share which song he and Chapel Hart would be performing during the show, their collaboration is sure not to disappoint.

In addition to teaming up on the AGT stage, Rucker and the country music trio from Mississippi are also collaborating on his new album.

Responding to a fan’s comment on Twitter, Rucker shared that he and Chapel Hart would continue working together.

“Maybe you can help @ChapelHartBand break some more barriers in Nashville,” a fan named Tammy wrote, tagging Rucker’s social media handle and adding a flame emoji.

“Already put them on my next record,” Rucker responded.

The trio did not hold back in expressing their excitement about the venture, telling TMZ that Rucker “really took a chance on [them].”

“It’s been so crazy, even Darius Rucker… We recorded a song with him a little while ago, so, we’ve been having to be quiet about it and he just kind of let the cat out of the bag the other day,” Danica shared during the trio’s conversation with the outlet.

“He really took a chance on us and he saw some of our stuff online and he was like ‘I love what you ladies are doing. I have an idea and I want to hear you guys on this song,” Devynn added.

When asked how they got in touch with Rucker, Trea explained that the “Wagon Wheel” singer sent them a message on Twitter but they didn’t believe it was him at first.

“He sent us a message on Twitter and I was like y’all I think we’re going spammed because somebody is saying that they’re Darius Rucker,” Trea said with Danica adding, “there is a Darius Rucker account that’s playing with our emotions and I think he heard us sing a version of ‘Delta Dawn’ and we saw that he reshared it and we were like ‘whatttt?’ and then we did Tanya Tucker and then a little bit after that he was like ‘I just wanted to reach out and say hey’ and we’re like ‘oh my God.’”

While fans will have to wait to hear Rucker and Chapel Hart’s collaboration on his next album, they can enjoy their duet tonight and see if the trio is crowned this season’s winner on tomorrow night’s live results show beginning at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
