Brandon Davis unveiled the details for his forthcoming debut album, Hearts Don’t Rust, and shared the project’s first song.

On Monday (Feb. 14), the fast rising singer/songwriter shared the project’s title track, “Hearts Don’t Rust.”

Davis shared that the title track, which was penned by him and his wife, Destiny, is the most meaningful track on the record and details how “all the material things we acquire in life will one day be gone but that love is everlasting,” a topic Davis feels we could all use a reminder of occasionally.

“This song is the kind of storytelling song that my Dad taught me to write and adding to that, it’s a song I got to write with my beautiful wife, Destiny. So this one will always hold a special place in my heart,” Davis exclusively told Music Mayhem of the tune.

Arriving on April 15 via Big Yellow Dog Music/Big Yellow Dog LLC, Hearts Don’t Rust features 8-tracks, including the just released title track and a special song inspired by his wife’s infamous saying, “Hey Baby.”

“Releasing a full length album is a huge milestone for me and I feel that the title track ‘Hearts Don’t Rust’ really fit the bill for this project,” Davis told Music Mayhem

Davis is set to release a second song, “Something’s Better Than Nothing,” from his debut effort on March 18, which he co-wrote alongside Kyle Clark and Jason Duke.

“The idea really stemmed from an age-old phrase that I’m sure we’ve all heard a time or two,” Davis explained of the upcoming tune. “But the biggest thing to take away from the story is that we should all take the time to appreciate all that we have and not always worry about what’s next or what we haven’t gotten. I love the emotion that lies in this song and the simplistic power it brings to the table.”

Currently, Davis is in the midst of his Step By Step Tour, which runs through April 9.

Later this year, the Tennessee native is set to join Tim McGraw’s McGraw Tour 2022 as support, an opportunity that Davis says is a “dream come true.”

The McGraw trek will kick off on April 29 at Walmart AMP in Rogers, AR, and make stops throughout the United States before wrapping up in Mansfield, MA at Xfinity Center on June 4. See dates below.
