Blake Shelton confirmed that he has a new album on the way!

In an interview with Bobby Bones on The Bobby Bones Show, the “Minimum Wage” singer shared the exciting news as well as chatted with Bones about his latest single, the controversy surrounding it and Morgan Wallen’s mullet.

“We’re gonna come with a new album; this will be the first single off of that album,” Shelton revealed to Bones. “We’re pumped about it.”

“Minimum Wage” is the lead single from the forthcoming project and is his first solo single since the release of his GRAMMY-nominated single “God’s Country” in 2019. Listen to the controversial new single below.

The Voice coach didn’t reveal any additional details about his forthcoming new record. However, he did confirm it was coming even though he previously told Entertainment Tonight, that he didn’t want to put out an album and that he just wanted to continue releasing singles.

“I don’t want to put out an album. I really don’t,” Shelton shared. “I’m sure that at some point, my record company people are going to pressure me into it, but as of now, I’m not putting out an album this year. I know that.” “I’ll be just as happy to release just another single,” he continued. “I do [have more songs] and I’ve got other stuff that I’m pumped about, but when I think about an album right now, I’m like, ‘Do people care about them anymore?’ I don’t know. But I’m having a blast just releasing singles. Maybe I’ll do that from now on.”

The yet-to-be officially announced album will follow his 2019 release, Fully Loaded: God’s Country.
