Blake Shelton celebrated 20 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry with a special performance of “Ol’ Red” on Sunday (Feb. 14).

Shelton, who also co-hosted the star-studded special alongside Brad Paisley, reflected on his time as an Opry member prior to performing his iconic hit.

“It’s been 20 years now since I played on this stage for the very first time and back then I was promoting my very first album and I remember one of the songs that I was promoting back then was a song called ‘Ole Red,’” Shelton explained, introducing his performance. “and even though it hadn’t been released as a single, I did perform it here on the Grand Ole Opry and I can tell by the audience’s reaction that night that I was onto something, let’s play it!”

Later in the show, Shelton will give a boot stompin’ performance of his chart-topping single, “God’s Country.”

Grand Ole Opry: 95 Years of Country Music also featured performances from Trisha Yearwood, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Little Big Town, Old Crow Medicine Show, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Kane Brown, Darius Rucker, Marty Stuart and Carrie Underwood.

The show also gave fans a look back at some of the most iconic performances in Opry history and showcased archived Opry interview and performance footage from today’s Opry members and legendary artists.

Additionally, the two-hour special also included star-studded collaborations from Darius Rucker featuring Old Crow Medicine Show, Carrie Underwood with Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Marty Stuart, Vince Gill featuring Reba McEntire and more.

Grand Ole Opry: 95 Years of Country Music aired on Sunday, February 14 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
