Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani gush over each other in the newly release promo clip release in support of the upcoming season of The Voice, in which both Shelton and Stefani return to the big red chairs.
In the video released on Monday (Sept. 28), Shelton says it’s not out of the ordinary for them to release duets together as they sing all day long together no matter where they are at.
“It’s definitely a second nature for Gwen and I to sing together, we sing together every day, all day long in the house or the car or wherever we’re at,” Shelton explained in the new clip. “Music is just a big part of our relationship, so the fact that we have a couple of records out now together and ‘Happy Anywhere’ being the current one, it’s a fun thing but it’s not a new thing for us to sing together.”
Stefani says that Shelton is her favorite person and one of her favorite singers and she was so glad to get to work with him on “Happy Anywhere” and all of their collaborative efforts.
“I don’t even know how this happen but I get to work with Blake Shelton, he is my favorite person, he’s one of my favorite singers and he invited me to do ‘Happy Anywhere,’ which was just like this perfect song about us and I was actually at my parents house when he wrote me. He’s like you gotta be on this song, this is our song and I started crying cause when I heard the lyrics, I was like oh my god, you know. It was this really incredible opportunity to work with my best friend, and it feels like the perfect song for the perfect timing but everybody who hears it, it just makes them smile and it’s a great thing.”

Shelton and Stefani return to The Voice for the nineteenth season alongside Kelly Clarkson and John Legend on October 19 on NBC.
