Billy Joel and his family attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour on Saturday evening (April 15) at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, and they “loved the show.”

The 73-year-old “Piano Man” took to social media on Sunday after (April 16), just one day after he attended the “Anti-Hero” singer’s concert to rave over the show. Taking to Instagram, Joel shared a carousel of images and one video.

“We Loved The Show”

“Rockin’ into our new ‘era’ thank you @Taylorswift we loved the show!” Joel wrote alongside the hashtags: #swifties #taylorswift #theerastour.

Joel’s first snapshot featured his wife, Alexis Roderick, and their two daughters Della Rose Joel, 7, and Remy Anne Joel, 5. The second was an image of Joel walking into the sold-out stadium from backstage with his two daughters.

Meanwhile, the last slide of the carousel featured Billy Joel’s two daughters having the time of their life, dancing to Swift’s performance of “…Ready For It?.”

Dozens Of Fans Took To The Comments

Fans quickly took to the comments of Billy Joel’s Instagram post, showcasing their excitement while others dubbed the pair of singers “2 of the greatest artists of all time.”

“My brain could barely process how iconic this photo is,” the “Victoria’s Secret” singer Jax wrote in the comments.

“Do they even realize that their dad is way more famous and iconic than Taylor? 😄” another fan wrote, while one fan added, “imagine pulling up to a t swift concert and sitting next to billy joel. 🥴”

Other fans wrote: “I bet T was just as starstruck seeing Billy as his girls were of seeing Taylor! ♥️,” “2 legends, things you love to see,” “SO YOU’RE TELLING ME I WAS IN THE SAME STADIUM AS TAYLOR SWIFT AND BILLY JOEL” and “I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH STOP OMG!”

Fans Beg For A Collaboration

Dozens of other fans begged Joel and Swift to collaborate, saying “SIR WHEN ARE WE GETTING A TAYLOR/BILLY COLLAB?!,” “Collab coming soon??” and “NEED A DUET LIKE ASAP!”

Joel Previously Said Swift Is The Beatles Of This Generation

Billy Joel previously said that Taylor Swift is “The Beatles” of this generation during an interview with USA Today.

“Taylor is also a very talented girl and she’s productive and keeps coming up with great concepts and songs and she’s huge,” Joel said of Swift. “You have to give her high marks. She knows music and she knows how to write. She’s like that generation’s Beatles.”

When Swift got the news that Joel compared her to The Beatles, she freaked out.

“That honestly broke my brain…” Swift admitted during an interview with EXTRA. “I don’t really know how to process words like that from someone like him. I’m a huge fan of his, that’s an icon saying that. I don’t know if that really happened, I need to see a video.”
