Walmart Yodel Boy Mason Ramsey revealed that he wants to duet with Blake Shelton. He also praised the “God’s Country” singer as “a great role model.”

Ramsey spoke with Entertainment Tonight Canada on May 19, sharing that he’d welcome a collaboration with Shelton.

“With you writing music and going down to Nashville, who would be the ideal person that you would love to collaborate with?” ET Canada asked Ramsey.

“Blake Shelton,” Ramsey responded. “He’s a great role model. He’s a great guy, super nice guy. He’s got some great music,” Ramsey added.

Though Ramsey has yet to collaborate with Shelton, he’s previously worked with another well-known singer: Lil Nas X.

Ramsey appeared on a remix of Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ hit song, “Old Town Road” alongside Young Thug back in 2019.

The viral star first gained notoriety back in March 2018 when he busted out his signature yodel on a cover of Hank Williams Jr.’s song, “Lovesick Blues” at his local Walmart in Illinois. Ramsey was just 11 years old at the time when his video went viral and helped him land a deal with Atlantic Records.

Following his deal with Atlantic Records, Ramsey, who is now 15 years old, has released two EPs: Famous (2018) and Twang (2019).

After releasing Twang in 2019, Ramsey took a bit of a break from his career, but posted an update on social media in Jan. 2022, letting fans know he’s back and he’s got “big plans.”

“Sorry I’ve been so quiet on social media lately,” Ramsey wrote on the carousel post, which included a couple photos of him riding a jet ski. “I’ve been living my life and took a step back from everything for a bit. I’m 15 now and a lot has changed since that day in Walmart. Hang tight because I’ve got big plans for 2022,” he added.

Since returning to social media, Ramsey has also joined TikTok, where he’s posted videos of himself working at his after-school job at Subway.

In one video, Ramsey responded to a comment from a TikTok user that read, “upgraded from Walmart to Subway I see,” flashing a thumbs-up into the camera while his song, “Before I Knew It” played in the background.
