Zac Brown Band honored a U.S. military veteran on stage during a recent concert. The band brought an Army veteran named Andy on stage while they played their song, “Chicken Fried.”
“Thanks to my amazing sister, my bada– dad was selected to be the military guest of honor at Zac Brown Band,” Andy’s daughter Madison wrote in a video she shared to TikTok. In the video, Madison noted that two of her dad’s best friends, Collin and Pat both died in the last six months, adding how much they loved the band’s song, “Chicken Fried.” In a subsequent clip, Madison’s dad Andy can be seen in his Army uniform on stage beside the band as they play the popular song.

“I thank God for my life / For the stars and stripes / May freedom forever fly / Let it ring / Salute the ones who died / The ones that gave their lives / So we don’t have to sacrifice all the things we love / Like our Chicken Fried,” the band sang as Andy raised his hand in a salute and the crowd erupted into cheers.
From within the crowd, Madison can be seen holding a sign that reads, “Thanks 4 your service, Dad!!!”
In addition, Madison thanked Zac Brown Band for the special moment, saying that having her dad onstage during his two best friends’ favorite song made the night “even more special.”
“Make Andy viral… he deserves it,” she captioned the video on TikTok, including a ❤️ emoji.
Madison also shared a photo of herself, mom, dad, and sister at the concert to her Instagram page, writing that it was “an unforgettable weekend spent with the best people.”
