Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart star in two new Super Bowl commercials, airing during the big game on Sunday (Feb. 12).
The longtime friends and frequent collaborators will both appear in a game day ad spots for Skechers.
Stewart, 81, appears in the clip, wearing a pair of the new and convenient Skechers Slip-Ins, to showcase how easy it is to slip on a pair of the new hands-free footwear.
“Watch how easy it is to put on new hands-free Skechers Slip-Ins. Even if my hands are full, I just step in and go,” Stewart shared in the clip’s opening segment while holding a handful of flowers. The commercial then takes viewers to a tattoo shop, where Stewart is seen sitting in a tattoo chair being inked.
Martha Stewart Got A Snoop Dogg Tattoo
“You don’t even need to touch them,” she said in the video, as she slid her foot into the shoe. The tattoo artist then revealed her new Snoop Dogg tattoo to her, which was complete with the words “My Dogg.”
“Oooo,” Stewart said, later adding, “That’s gangsta.”
In the ad spot, the lifestyle mogul also showcased how easy it is to run, do cartwheels and score a perfect-1 while doing gymnastic flips.
“In a hurry? Skechers Slip-Ins are perfect. There’s not a faster, easier way to put on your shoes,” Stewart comments.
While it remains unknown if Stewart’s tattoo is permanent or not, it seems like it could be.
“Thanks to Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins® footwear, Martha Stewart is able to engage in her lesser-known hobbies including scoring a perfect 10 in competitive gymnastics to permanent body art of her comrade Snoop Dogg,” a Skechers representative told PEOPLE.
Snoop Dogg Will Also Star In A Game Day Ad Spot
51-year-old “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper, Snoop Dogg, also slipped into a pair of Skechers for a commercial, which will also air during Super Bowl LVII, which will find the Philadelphia Eagles facing off against the Kansas City Chief’s.
The clip, which also includes a cameo from Stewart, features Snoop Dogg spending some time coaching fellow Skechers’ brand ambassadors, Howie Long and Tony Romeo, through some tasks.
“Skechers baby! Shoes made for all walks of life,” Snoop said in the clip, which is soundtracked by Snoop’s “Who am I? (What’s my name?).”
The video concludes as Snoop is seen sitting the Oval office with his feet up on the desk as Stewart walks in and interrupts him to tell him to get his feet off the furniture.
“I’m a man of the people. I’m excited to partner with Skechers, who always brings something for everyone—just like me,” Snoop shared in a press release. “In this commercial, I got together with some of my friends, who also all have very active lifestyles and want to be stylish and comfortable at the same time, which we can do with Skechers. They’re shoes for all walks of life.”
With few exceptions, Skechers has been a perennial advertiser during the Big Game since first appearing in a spot starring Joe Montana in 2010. One of the brand’s most talked-about spots from 2012 featured Mark Cuban watching a French bulldog named Mr. Quiggly racing in Skechers GOrun footwear.
Last year, the brand featured Willie Nelson in its 10th campaign centered on the Big Game.
Additionally, Skechers has been leading the industry in comfort with the development of innovative technologies and materials for many years.
Consumers can only find these signature features in Skechers products, including Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins®, Skechers Arch Fit®, and Skechers Air-Cooled Memory Foam®, among others.
The complete range of Skechers footwear for men, women and kids is available in Skechers retail stores as well as skechers.com, plus department stores and footwear retailers around the globe.
