A new relationship has been reportedly confirmed between two of Nashville’s hottest newcomers, Levi Hummon and Ashley Cooke, with Hummon’s romantic new song, “For Me.”
Rumors around their relationship status have been looming for a while now because of the small hints fans have picked up on through their posts on social media. Hummon recently shared a video with Cooke on TikTok that finally validates the speculation. He sat down with Cooke to preview his latest song dropping later this week. When she asked about the title, he explained it’s called “For Me,‘ but it’s for you.”
“For me, it’s hard to not drink too much / Run my mouth and mess it up / Every time I find something good for me / It’s hard to stop looking back / Replaying that heartbreak past / Thinking that I’ll always be eighteen and restless / The train wreck everyone is still expecting / For you, I’ll get my shit together / Try to make the bad parts better / Even if it takes forever to be the man you need / For you, I’ll be a deeper lover / A calmer son, a kinder brother / The one that I’ve been running from that you see underneath / The fact that you don’t wanna change me makes me wanna change for you / For me,” Hummon sings.
As they listened to the honest lyrics in the romantic track, Cooke and Hummon shared some laughs, nods in agreement and exchanged loving looks. The comments poured in with excitement for both their relationship and the new song.
From the looks of it, Hummon is definitely making an effort to show his support for the “Sunday Morning Kinda Saturday Night” singer, who recently wrapped up her time as a special guest on Cole Swindell’s Down to the Bar tour. Cooke posted a photo of a beautiful flower arrangement on her Instagram story that were sent to her by Hummon in honor of her last day on the road. He also attended one of her shows recently and while they were backstage, they busted out some dance moves to Hummon’s current hit, “Paying For It,” which he co-wrote with Walker Hayes.

The rumors of their relationship started when they began posting TikTok videos together more frequently and seemed to be pretty comfortable with each other. They filmed themselves listening to Hummon’s song with Hayes as well as his latest release, “Bottled Up,” and Cooke’s current rising hit, “Never Til Now.” Coincidentally, several of their recent releases were inspired by their previous relationships and heartbreak.
Both artists have been quite open about their difficult breakups, but as Hummon explained in his already highly-anticipated song, he’s ready to take the steps to ensure this relationship turns out better than those in the past. Fans have also been feeling the switch in emotions from Cooke who recently released a new version of the romantic single, “Never Til Now” including vocals from country star Brett Young.
Last week, Cooke shared that she signed a record deal with Big Loud and is already preparing for her next journey. Starting April 8, she will hit the road with Jordan Davis for a few dates on his Buy Dirt Tour. In the meantime, keep an eye out for Hummon’s “For Me,” which releases this Friday, April 8.
