Kenny Chesney shocked fans when he brought his mom, Karen Chandler, out on stage during his concert at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado on the Here And Now Tour on Saturday (July 30).
The country superstar sweetly wrapped his arm around his mother while he performed “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” a duet that originally features Chesney alongside David Lee Murphy and appears on Murphy’s 2018 album, No Zip Code.
In a clip shared by a fan named Kristina Berger, the East Tennessee native and his mom are seen walking across the massive stage as Chesney sings the tune to the 60,023 fans in attendance. Throughout the performance, Chesney even passed the microphone to his mom to sing with him during the chorus.
“Give mom a big round [of applause],” Chesney shouted as his mother exited the stage.

Chesney remains close with his mother and previously opened up to his record label about lessons he learned from his mom.
“I think one of the most important lessons that I’ve learned from my mom is just, no matter what life throws at you, is just to take a step back and a deep breath and just still take life as it comes,” Chesney said. “She’s been through a lot in her life. And she’s handled it. And she’s come to it, I believe, with a lot of grace and a lot of style. And I’ve learned a lot from that. She has taught me a lot directly and indirectly. And she’s a hard worker, but she loves life. And I thank God that I got my love of life from her.”

Karen previously attended red carpet events with Chesney, including the 2010 premiere of his live concert DVD, Kenny Chesney’s Summer in 3D, among several others.
Chesney’s performance at Empower Field at Mile High marked his fifth time headlining the home of the Denver Broncos.
Also during the show, Peyton Manning, former Broncos Quarterback and Pro Football Hall of Famer, joined the eight-time Entertainer of the Year during the football anthem, “The Boys of Fall.”
