Garth Brooks surprised Steve Wariner during his Opry performance on Saturday, May 8!

During Wariner’s Opry performance, he celebrated his 25th anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry and what a better way to celebrate then with a surprise from fellow Opry member and one of his friends, Garth Brooks.

“Don’t you love Steve Wariner?” Brooks said upon entering the Opry circle, before Wariner chimed in saying, “GB you’ve made it for me, that’s awesome. Ain’t he the best y’all, I mean come on.” Brooks went on to congratulate Wariner on 25 years before he and Brooks performed several songs together on the Opry stage.

Wariner and Brooks performed “Burnin’ The Roadhouse Down,” “What I Didn’t Do,” as well as the Brooks requested song “The Weekend.” In which, the country superstar joined him to harmonize on the track during their Opry performance.

Later in the show, Brooks and Wariner performed their 1997 duet “Longneck Bottle.”

You can watch the full performance in the clip below.

In addition to Wariner and Brooks, Russell Dickerson, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser and Chris Lane also performed during the show.
