The country music icons had Dollywood guests going wild when they were spotted cruising around the park in a golf cart together.

In a clip captured by a fan on TikTok, the Country Music Hall of Fame members could be seen waving to fans as they made their way around the award-winning theme park.

The longtime friends and collaborators were in the park together to film portions of an upcoming film set to air on NBC.

While visiting Dollywood to announce Big Bear Mountain, a nearly 4,000 ft. long rollercoaster coming to the park in early 2023, Parton also revealed details surrounding the upcoming holiday special.

“Some of you may have heard we’re doing a special for NBC and we’re doing it all from Dollywood and we’re starting on Monday and it’s kind of like a movie like a show sort of speak because it’s really a special with special guests like Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, Billy Ray Cyrus. We’ve got several great guests, like my family’s going to be singing,” she shared.

The East Tennessee native then went on to explain what fans can expect from the film.

“We’re going to do all that, but it’s kind of like we’re going behind the scenes and making a movie with actors and all the things that go on trying to put a show together. So we thought people love to see that anyways, so you’ll get to see what it’s like to build a show. All the drama and all the things that can go wrong and they will go wrong. Anyhow, that’s going to be shown on NBC sometime before Christmas,” she said.

Filmed at Dollywood in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains, the forthcoming movie-musical dubbed Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas “tells the backstage story of making a network TV special,” according to the NBC synopsis.

The synopsis continued, “this sentimental holiday movie takes viewers on a journey through time as Parton is visited by the Three Wise Men. The entertainer is taught valuable lessons, ultimately challenging her notions of the real magic of Christmas.”

This isn’t Parton’s first collaboration with NBC. In 2015, Parton signed on to develop a series of TV movies for the network based on some of her most well-known songs and life stories. Audiences were beyond captivated by the first film in the series, Coat of Many Colors, and the sequel, Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.

A premiere date for the film has yet to be announced.
