Country music legend Randy Travis attended Post Malone’s Nashville concert on Sunday (Oct. 16) at Bridgestone Arena.
According to The Tennessean, Post Malone tipped his hat to the country music icon after his show as Travis’ 1987 chart-topping hit, “Forever and Ever, Amen,” blasted through the speakers as he bid farewell to fans.
According to social media posts, Travis watched Post Malone’s show from the crowd and even took time to take photos with fans in the audience.

Backstage, Travis partook in a little beer pong with Posty himself.
In a video captured by bluegrass artist Billy Strings, the country music legend can be seen tossing a ping pong ball into a cup as Post Malone cheered him on from the side of the table. A Tyler Childers song could be heard playing in the background of the clip.
In addition to the beer pong action, Billy Strings was pictured backstage with Post Malone and country superstar Luke Bryan.
Bryan also shared photos with Post Malone on Instagram alongside the caption, “@postmalone thanks for having me. What a show. Totally blew my mind. So fun being a fan for a night.”
It seems Post Malone is a big fan of Travis’ iconic hit as in April of 2021, Randy Travis reacted to a video shared by Post. In the clip, the rapper is seen singing along to “Forever And Ever, Amen” and Travis duetted it on TikTok with a big smile on his face.
“Who knew @postmalone liked my music?! Honored! Keep up the good work, Posty,” Travis captioned the clip.

Post, who is an avid fan of country music, made headlines earlier this year when Brad Paisley reacted to his cover of “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” Since his Paisley cover went viral, fans have been begging the hitmaker to release a country project.
During a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show while promoting his new album, Twelve Carat Toothache, Post Malone revealed that he may release a country project in the future.
“To be honest, there’s nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album [to put] on YouTube,” Post Malone told Stern. “I’m allowed to do that. I’m a human being.”
Stern then asked Post Malone why he hasn’t already released a country project, to which he replied “I split my time between a lot of different things because I am happily obligated to do concerts and show love to my fans … and then I’m happily obligated to write music and make beats by myself, and I’m happily obligated to, you know, take care of my family. So, it’s a lot of time, and it’s about finding that space to allot that time.”
“If I get another year to myself, maybe I’ll make a f–king country album,” the Texas native added.
Post Malone has also previously shared that he would love to sing a duet with “the king of country music” George Strait and country superstar Toby Keith.
“I put myself on country whenever I started playing guitar, I’m gonna get a rhinestone suit,” Malone previously said in several interviews. “I wanna work with George Strait, Toby Keith… there’s too many people.”
Post Malone is currently in the midst of his much-anticipated Twelve Carat Toothache Tour with special guest Roddy Ricch, which kicked off in September of 2022 and runs through November.
His next scheduled tour date is Tuesday, October 18 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. See a full list of his upcoming tour dates HERE.
