Carrie Underwood shocked patrons at a Tennessee bar to join a Tom Petty tribute band called The Heartshakers for a duet of one of Petty’s classic hits.

On Saturday evening (Aug. 6), Underwood and a few of her friends enjoyed a night out with their husbands at Fox & Locke, an “acclaimed live music venue and restaurant serving comfort food,” which is located in a historic building the quaint town of Leipers Fork, Tennessee.

While at Fox & Locke, Underwood joined The Heartshakers to sing “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” a duet that originally features Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks.

“Had fun @foxandtrout watching @theheartshakers!!!” Underwood shared in her Instagram stories.

The live music venue later shared a clip of Underwood’s performance with The Heartshakers, which you can watch below.

“Last night the one and only @carrieunderwood was here and jumped on stage with @theheartshakers to rock the house with a classic!!” the venue wrote alongside the video. “Like we always say – you never know who will show up here. Thanks for coming by, Carrie. What an incredible Saturday night!”

Following a fun night out, Underwood took to social media on Sunday morning (Aug. 7) to share a photo of her with her girlfriends, including Ivey Childers, Cara Clark, Meredith Kirk (who she tagged) and one other friend who was tagged.

“Girls’ night! OK, so, the guys were there, too, but we were doing our best to pretend they weren’t! 🤪” Underwood wrote. “I am so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing ladies! ❤️ you guys!!!”

Underwood recently revealed that she will be returning to Sunday Night Football for the tenth year.

The Oklahoma native released her new album, Denim & Rhinestones, earlier this summer. Denim & Rhinestones was released on June 10 and features new 12 tracks. Included on the project is her latest single, “Ghost Story,” as well as instant fan favorites like “Crazy Angels,” “Pink Champagne,” and “Velvet Heartbreak.”

This fall, Underwood will embark on a massive headlining trek, dubbed the Denim & Rhinestones Tour, which kicks off on October 15 in Greenville, South Carolina.

The 43-city trek features Jimmie Allen and will run through March 17, 2023.

Underwood will donate $1 from each ticket sold to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org), which has been helping America’s heroes since 9/11 by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. The Foundation is also committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and aiding the victims of major U.S. disasters.

Tickets for the Denim & Rhinestones Tour are on sale now HERE.
