Ashley McBryde and Sheryl Crow delivered a fun-filled performance of a classic country hit during New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.
The two country hitmakers joined forces for a cover of Linda Ronstadt’s “When Will I Be Loved” during the star-studded broadcast on Saturday evening (Dec. 31).
“I’ve been cheated / Been mistreated / When will I be loved? / I’ve been put down / I’ve been pushed ’round / When will I be loved?” McBryde and Crow sang.

Written by Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers, “When Will I Be Loved” was covered by Ronstadt in 1975 and her version of the tune became a massive hit in the United States, peaking at No. 2 on the Country charts. Vince Gill later covered the song in 1994 for the soundtrack of the film, 8 Seconds.
McBryde recently covered the tune alongside Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack, and Pillbox Patti for her latest project, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville. The 13-track album was written in collaboration with a team of writers including Aaron Raitiere, Connie Harrington, Brandy Clark, Benjy Davis and Nicolette Hayford. Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville includes performances from McBryde, Raitiere, Clark, Davis, Brothers Osborne, Pillbox Patti, and Caylee Hammack.
Produced by Brothers Osborne’s John Osborne, the project takes fans into a fictional small town of drinkers, cheaters, sinners and Jesus believers called Lindeville.
During the show, Crow also performed her fan-favorite hit “All I Wanna Do Is Have Some Fun,” a tune written by Crow, David Baerwald, Bill Bottrell, and Kevin Gilbert, with lyrics adapted from Wyn Cooper’s 1987 poem “Fun,” according to Wikipedia.
“‘Cause all I wanna do is have some fun / I got a feeling I’m not the only one / All I wanna do is have some fun / I got a feeling I’m not the only one / All I wanna do is have some fun / Until the sun comes up over Santa Monica Boulevard,” she sang on the chorus.
All WE want to do is dance to this @SherylCrow hit all night long… 🕺💃
