Most artist meet and greets see fans walk away with a photo or some mercy, but Post Malone went above and beyond for one attendee ahead of a recent show in Georgia.
Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, was participating in a meet and greet at DBS Sounds in Riverdale, Georgia on August 2, one day before playing a show at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta. An 11-year-old boy named Elijah was in attendance with his mom, Nicole Bracher, having driven all the way from Wisconsin for the event.
In a TikTok shared by Bracher, Elijah began his meet and greet with a hug from Malone, who asked him, “How are you, dude? Nice to meet you! Cool shirt.” After the two posed for a photo together, Malone asked the 11-year-old if he wanted him to sign anything, at which point Elijah looked down at his sneakers.

The world renowned superstar autographed Elijah’s sneakers before noticing the tween looking at the white Converse he was wearing. “You love these?” Malone asked before bending down to take his shoes off. “They might be too big.”
Autographed The Sneakers For The Fan
Malone also autographed his own sneakers before handing them to Elijah and sending him on his way.
“It was amazing and it was a privilege,” Elijah told Music Mayhem of the encounter, adding that his current favorite Post Malone song is “Green Thumb.” “I was pretty lucky.”
Bracher, who also posed for photos with the musician at the event, shared a series of snaps of her son with Malone on Instagram and wrote, “this will be a pretty cool ‘what did you do over the summer’ story when Elijah goes back to school.”
“Epic” Meet And Greet Experience
The venue wrote on Instagram that the meet and greet was “epic.” “[Malone] stayed and did the instore for the next 3 hours,” they added. “Post is the truth!!”
Bracher has been a fan of Malone (real name Austin Richard Post) since 2016 and even got his signature tattooed on the inside of her wrist.
“I got a tattoo of his signature because Austin has helped me through more than one of the darkest times of my life,” Bracher shared. “I’d play his songs on repeat when I felt like I was at my lowest, specifically ‘Stay,’ ‘I Fall Apart’ and ‘Over Now.’ It’s something I wanted as a permanent reminder, so I got it tattooed.”
Nicole Bonds With Her Son Over Post Malone
She also introduced her son to the singer’s music, and it’s now something they share together.
“I’ve played Post all over the house and in the car for the last 7 years and both of my boys have gradually become fans,” she said. “We sing his songs together!”
This isn’t the first time Malone has given fans the shoes off of his own feet, having done the same following a show earlier this year. After noticing from the stage that a fan had bought him a pair of shoes, Malone went over to her and had a conversation after his set.
After thanking her for the shoes, she told him, “You take mine, I’ll take yours,” prompting a surprised Malone to take off his shoes and give them to the fan.
“I’ll have you know, these stink, probably,” he said with a laugh before signing his used shoes and handing them over.
