“I grew up in this sport,” Combs said in a video shared on social media. “Every Sunday was spent with my granddad and NASCAR was our thing. While carrying on the tradition [in 2021] was something I’ll never forget, [but] it wasn’t the same without a full house.”
“To connect with the crowd and get them pumped up for the great American race again… those moments are what I live for and it’s why I do what I do,” Combs added in the clip. “I can’t wait to be out on that stage to kick off the pre-race party to show my appreciation to the greatest fans in the world and to create a memory so special to cherish it forever. I can’t wait for the Daytona 500.”

Combs performed last year at the 2021 pre-race concert, where he played five songs including his chart-topping hit, “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” and more. In honor of the 20th anniversary of Dale Earnhardt’s passing, Combs donned an Earnhardt branded leather jacket during his performance.
The Speedway is offering a Combs’ VIP package, which start at $230 and include a ticket to the Daytona 500. The VIP package also includes access to Fanzone, pre-race access ticket, VIP access to the concert as well as a Q&A with Combs. For more information, visit Daytona500.com.
The Daytona 500 will air on Sunday, February 20 at 2:30 PM EST.
